Re: How to get Bike to BxB Reno?
Forgive the necro-post, but my camp mate has a similar problem. She's flying in from Sweden, and rented a bike from Kiwanis. While it is only a 2 mile bike ride to the airport, she'll have other luggage. As they are no longer downtown, the city bus won't work. Does anyone have any ideas on a deliver...

It looks like a 6mm barrel connector.
I already have the fan and pump. Just need to tie it all together.

Re: cooling your tent or van
I hope I'm not making this too convoluted... I have a Jackery 160, and would like to use it to power the cooler. I have purchased the FIGJAM specified components. My problem is finding a 12v barrel connector to plug into the Jackery's 12v DC Port (not a cigarette lighter adapter). Here is the info o...

Re: cooling your tent or van
If you go giant power bank, it might have a 12v outlet that opens up options for you. But you are going to have issues drop shipping unless it's going to a friend's house. And shipping it out won't be cheap either. Here's the bank I'm looking at, but I don't think it's powerful enough, even with so...

This is the damn fan!!! https://www.amazon.com/AFB1212SHE-CF00-38mm-Cooling-190-48-Tach/dp/B00CIB9BTU Yup Figjam. I would get this in a heartbeat if I could. Re: cooling your tent or van
I have not purchased my fan yet, as I haven't found one that is powerful enough.
I thought about purchasing a Jackery and having it drop-shipped to Reno, but then I could not test it. It's 167wh so to big to go on a plane.

Cool beans. I think giving directly to the camps is the way to go. I just was worried about weight.

Re: cooling your tent or van
I am flying/BxB to the burn. As I am packing as light as possible, I'd like to use usb bricks to power this. While the pump is no problem (I have a solar with battery backup), I can not find a fan that will run 5v with more than 55 cfm or so. I'm sticking with the 5 gallon design, as outlined on pag...

Gifting food: worried about MOOP contribution
Howdy all, Looking to gift a special mustard that we make from a family recipe. It would be unbranded packaging (commercial kitchen prepared), but I don't want to hand out a bunch of moopy individual serving packets (it's normally given in glass jars). Any ideas on how to gift this type of yummy to ...

Re: Improvements & Upgrades to the FIGJAM bucket evap. cooler
Non-Engineer here: Does using a 7 or 10 gallon bucket (similar circumference as 5 gal) and scaling the height of the filters up (same thickness) and using a pump with a higher head height work, or are there other physics to consider. Asking for a friend.

Re: Broken down old lady burner
Thanks, all! Broken Down Old Lady Central is a joke amongst several of my friends, so it just seemed to be a good start! I'm hoping to recruit a few others to come with us and set up a camp with the rest of us wizened crones! Remember: It's not the years, it's the mileage...and these miles were not ...

Broken down old lady burner
Howdy!
Looking to go to the Playa in a few years. Life has been getting in the way this year, and next year I'll be out of the US, so it looks like 2018. My friend and I will be attending our first burn, and we are both glad we've finally made a commitment!
