Not unless it was under a pseudonym.

Hi Apollonaris Zeus. Must be a slow day to dig up a year+ old post.

The site is still there, still open for participation if anyone wants to.

By the way, since my schedule has opened up, I've now added a proper subscription link. If you have iTunes properly installed, you can just click Subscribe, and iTunes will automatically add the subscription to its Podcast section, and you will automatically see new episodes as they are uploaded in ...

For the last three months, the better part of my life has been spent developing, integrating, designing and tweaking a new website for the burner community. Finally, I am ready to publicly announce it. It is a place where you can connect. Share. Participate. Where there are no spectators. Wouldn't b...

If so, I really enjoy your stuff.

If we wanted to get very slashdot about this we could start a discussion about free software versus open source! Free software? Free as in speech? Or as in beer? It's all g[r]eek, um, I mean GNU to me! ;) Are you a Linux user? I've dabbled. More of a FreeBSD fan (administered a FreeBSD server in th...

Thank the gods for clueless idiots Indeed. But I believe that for every batch of clueless idiots, there may be a few people who are inspired to investigate further, and they may become a contributing/participating burner. Then again, like Alice, I try to believe at least three impossible things eac...

I agree Ubu. Although I wouldn't limit the comparison to just Linux. I'd open it up to open source in general. Open source has the exact same spirit of the gift economy.

Obviously, you were keeping an eye on those rowdy fire dancers!

Nope. All of my photos are consensual and commerce free.

Thanks for the kind comments!

You're welcome Miss Nev!

Thanks Miss Nev!

I've cropped the photo down to the bikes on the right. Does this help?

I think Chai Guy's recipe is:

One part revolution
One part gifting
One part community
One part enthusiastic spirit

Mix well, stir to taste, serve with smile.

Hi DallasPlaya,

The containers worked great. Only one developed a small crack. When you empty them out, they stack together nicely. And they are cheap ($5 at most home supply depots).

Thanks for the kind comments guys!

I'm very happy I have the photo of me in front of the fire. Took three tries in the midst of the chaos of the burn. Way too close to the fire. Utterly intense, positively unforgettable.

I've put together a photo gallery over the past week. My virgin burn experience is in it (some parts subtle, some not so subtle), and I've decided to share it with all of my non-burner friends. I figured that some of you may get a kick out it too: http://lecter.org/fotos/BM05/ I kept the photos larg...

Ahh, to have a stalker. At least I wouldn't feel so isolated! :)
