Re: How to safely exchange a ticket for $$ when not physically meeting
Thanks for everyone who took the time to comment. It sure would be cool if a Seller could transfer a ticket online via STEP-plus *post* delivery, and when this happens the Buyer gets the rights to the ticket, including what name to attach to it at Will Call, and the Seller's physical ticket gets voi...

How to safely exchange a ticket for $$ when not physically meeting
Hoping that this has an obvious answer, but I saw lots of warnings but no "this is how to do it". Seller has a ticket to sell. Buyer wants to buy it. Seller wants to be sure to get paid, and not have it fraudulently disputed or payment reversed. Buyer wants to get an actual non-voided ticket in thei...

Re: Ticket-shipped email but looks scammy - Pushpass?
I got the same email and also thought it looked really scammy (It is from "Burning Man Ticketing" but it is noreply@pushpass.app, and it says "Burning Man Wristband(s)", but ... it has my name right, along with my shipping address and tracking number in the email for my actual ticket shipment. So, n...

Re: Good Advice for Virgin Burners
* Bring a backpack! I didn't have one my first year. Pretty amusing, carrying random crap around in a plastic shopping bag . . . These days I have a day bag and a night bag (smaller), pre-packed before I hit the playa. A good bag thread is here: https://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic.php?t=7...

Re: Renting a car in 2017
It helps if you rent a car far from the event. I have rented from Alamo at LAX more than once. No problems and they didn't even check engine etc. Get your hands on some plastic sheeting to cover the inside of the car and keep it closed as much as possible. Also make sure you turn the air con to rec...

Re: Renting a car in 2017
I rented an SUV from Enterprise in Reno last year. They have the same $350 charge to clean it. I stopped at a car wash to get it washed, they talked me into a package that was $150 or so. To be fair, they did an amazing job on the interior and the top parts of the engine compartment, and I was astou...

Ratty,
Were you working Greeter on Tuesday afternoon in 2016 by any chance? I think I was welcomed by you! 36 hours of travel, ideal way to hit BRC just as a dust storm blew through and held us all up, but a nice welcome nonetheless!

Re: VP from 1200$ SALE and ticket from Main Sale ($425) : is it ok?
(claps hand to forehead) Sorry, my bad, I somehow morphed "VP" (Vehicle Pass) into "VIP" (VIP ticket). Now I get it. Thanks for taking the time to clear it up for me. I'm in the midst of a similar question about the rules, which is sort of why I got confused. I bought one ticket in the pre-sale, and...

Re: VP from 1200$ SALE and ticket from Main Sale ($425) : is it ok?
Sorry, I may be misunderstanding, but if someone only got one ticket in the main sale (first) and then decided to buy a second ticket at the VIP level, why is that a problem of any kind (assuming they want 2 tickets and have the $$)? I understand why buying a pre-sale expensive ticket first and then...
