Re: Is it likely to imagine we can hitch a ride from Gerlach to the gate?
We have a friend in Reno who can take us that far, but you can't get through the gate without a vehicle that has a pass. There are no walk-ins.

What’s the best way to hang/suspend things inside a yurt?
Specifically, I’d like to drape fabric through the middle to create two “rooms.”
Second, I want to create a solar chimney to allow hot air to escape by running ducting from the top of the yurt to the window on the side. How can I attach the ducting to the roof without causing irreparable damage?

Re: cooling your tent or van
My yurt has a 24x12” window.
Can I use that space as both an intake for the ducting connected to my cooler AND a separate exhaust duct running from the roof to outside, solar chimney style? I’m trying to minimize cuts in the structure.

Re: cooling your tent or van
Exhaust venting of the yurt seems essential to the process. Can someone give me exact instructions on how to create this ideal ceiling vent? Is that flexible ducting that runs from a circular hole in the roof to a circular hole in the wall? Anyone have a link or plan for the ideal circular filter to...

Looking for 1 or 2 seats Reno > BRC 8/24 (no luggage!)
We get into Reno at 11:35 pm on 8/23. We can be ready to head for BRC immediately or later on Friday morning.
Will be generous with gas, food, and spirit.

Re: Lag screws vs everything else...
First-timer—for the safety of us all, please double-check my method and math. I'm doing the Costco carport with 14" lag screws and X-method ratchet strap tie downs. One lag screw for each of the 8 legs of the carport = 8 lags. (Do the feet of the carport have holes so I can screw my lags in directly...
