Re: Cultural Course Correcting post by Marian Goodell

I agree that this is the better place to be v. facebook so, I have copied my post here. I know BM is like nothing else. But this is the first time I have seen a large organization respond this way to the feedback of those who attend/make the event. The whole thing could of gone to shit and become ju...

Re: Theme Camp or Join?

Hey! Thanks for the response. My meaning by open 3 days would be limited scheduled events. Always "Open". I would limit it simply to have a proof of concept vs going big year one and not attracting any attention or having a flop of a camp. Not sure where the 1 year thing is from, but I would love to...

Theme Camp or Join?

My first burn was 2017 and I went solo. For my next burn, I am thinking about setting up a theme camp. Would be relatively small, only open 3 days, but I don't want to return without making a contribution. I think my setup would be inexpensive, so cost is not a concern. What I am trying to determine...

Palet Stretch Wrap. The big hardware stores, Staples and the like, uhaul etc all have them. Not too pricy either and useful year round. I am unfortunately in an SUV that lacks some of the U.... so everything will be in the vehicle and not on top because the roof is basically all glass. However, I t...

Stop the rattling EMT!!!

Hello wise sages of eplaya. I am bringing a large shade structure built using 1in EMT. I have the various pole lengths tied together with paracord to make 5 bundles I did a test load a few weeks ago and couldn't find a way to get the poles to stop rattling together. I don't know if it is one bundle ...

Got my hitch wiring harness installed, and hitch cargo lights installed too. Can never have too many lights for safe transport! Do not forget to cross you safety chain under the hitch.. If the hitch lets go (for any reason) the chains can help hold the trailer up, for a more controlled stop .. The ...

Re: The Bar 2017 Edition

There is a Loves right off the highway that someone said was a good place to stop. Good news is I have a permit for the campsite ($15.00 BTW) Also, I am pulling a small camping trailer so I can sleep wherever I choose to stay. So I have options. But I will play it by energy level when I hit the exit.

I have a shade shelter. I have seen it suggested that I put some sort of "flooring" down in my camp. I have a large tarp that I bought for another shelter idea. It is bigger than my shelter, but I could fold it to fit. Then the questions becomes, how to secure it. What all have you tried? Any sugges...

In the article it does say to make those kind of exchanges at the police station in the lobby.

Re: Cash Money

You shouldn't be bringing cash into BRC for anything other than ice or coffee. You actually don't have to bring any as you could just work a shift at center cafe. You get tipped out for this and it is enough for a few days of ice . Sometimes there is literally free money in center for coffee. When ...
