Re: Steam Punk Hats - Free
Wow, that is so cool! I have a friend who collects hats and would absolutely love one of these! Are you still making them?

4x4 Hexayurt Transport
Hey y'all! I've got another hexayurt question. I was initially going to build the 8 ft, but once we got to the store and saw the panels in person, we decided a 6 ft stretch would be sufficient for 2 virgins. I've created a model of the stretch that i got here that will be able to transport in a 4x8 ...

Re: Building my first Yurt & Swamp Cooler - Need Advice!
Yes! What Token said! Buy a costco carport and put a tent under it. It's much easier to set up, transport and to store. I can put mine up in a windstorm or in the rain if necessary. With proper tie downs it won't fail you. The yurt can wait till next time. You can sleep anywhere with or without a b...

Re: VIRGINia!!!
My question might be quite straightforward, but you got me curious at: "how I can be myself and still fit in with society... and I've found out that it's really hard to actually make that work." What is it about you that makes it so hard to be yourself and make it work? :) Every single person has s...

Re: Building my first Yurt & Swamp Cooler - Need Advice!
have used an h12 the last 7 burns. 2016 we built 6 foot walls with a 5 ft door which was really nice because stooping gets old. Last year was my first year building and using a figjam cooler. We did the standard 5 gal bucket cooler. With 6 ft walls all around we couldve used a bigger or maybe 2 coo...

Re: Building my first Yurt & Swamp Cooler - Need Advice!
In your link there is another link . Scroll down to the 'UniCooler' part of the thread. I actually did see that, but it seems a little too big for my taste...so I guess I was looking for something inbetween? 7 gal of water for 8 hrs of cool seems like a lot of extra water to pack...I guess at this ...

Re: Building my first Yurt & Swamp Cooler - Need Advice!
im going with 2 buckets instead of one big cooler because I need the room while I'm traveling. I can put a bucket inside a bucket and put the cooler together when I get there. But if cargo space is not an issue the bigger the cooler the better. More surface area is more cooling. based on the way yo...

Re: Building my first Yurt & Swamp Cooler - Need Advice!
Yeah, many of those well shaded structures like Yurts or even just tents or a chair under sufficiently ventilated shade (e.g. monkeyhut or carport) can be quite pleasant without any additional cooling. Plus, you won't get so used to the coolness that going back outside won't be too tough. Maybe jus...

VIRGINia!!!

My name is Heather (or Ginger!) and I'm a virgin from VA...can't spell Virginia without virgin! - ahh okay done with that. I managed to get 2 tickets in the mai...

Building my first Yurt & Swamp Cooler - Need Advice!
hello everyone! i've magically secured 2 tickets, and assuming all goes well, will be popping my burner cherry this year! I'm planning to build a H12 (8ft) Hexayurt with a swamp cooler. My boyfriend will be helping me, but I've never built anything more difficult that a Ferris Wheel made of K'nex, s...

Re: It's.... The 2017 Main Sale Excitement & Congrats Thread!
I'm a virgin who just scored two tickets! Hooray for being prepared! I am concerned now though because although I got my tickets, I didn't even have the option to purchase a vehicle pass.

Ticket Questions from a Virgin
hello everyone! I registered my burner profile for the ticket sale tomorrow, but my boyfriend was not able to. I have a ticketfly account of my own and had planned on using his credit card to purchase our tickets. I'm wondering if this is going to be an issue. I tried to research myself, and I'm see...
