We should totally do a central power grid run exclusively on steam engines, fueled by the millions of dead drought and bark beetle trees from California...….. And Bacon, endless bacon. I'm with you on everything from steam engine thru bacon, if only this was a winter festival called "Freezing Man"....

Re: Harbor Freight Solar Panels?

In sunny CA , we have the cheapest off-peak rate (midnight to 9am) at $0.14. But from 4pm to 9pm we get fleeced at a delightful $0.34 as long as we are frugal and stay in Tier 1 usage If we go over our magic allotment, it jumps to $0.58 per KWh. California Uber Ales! $13.5B sounds modest enough to be workable, but I doubt it. $ 13.5B from a company that serves 5.2M households will cost $2,600 per customer. This settlement is 4.2 times more than PGE market capitalization …..brand stockholders as you wish, but neither mom and pop investors nor evil robber barons l...

I went to my first alternate energy symposium in 1979 when Three Mile Island, lines at the gas station, and World War Snail Darter were all current events. "Spirited debate" would be an understatement. Presenters of various energy topics took turns playing goalie against the greenies dart board team...

Less juice to the victim, but add a neon light transformer and send 9,000 volts to an electrical Jacobs Ladder a short(but safe) distance behind the victims head. solar, generator, or small scale anything has a bad dollar/kwh ratio. Added consideration is I'm retired and use it more than just during bur...

Dunno your state laws, but some are more restrictive than others re> age, parental supervision, not on public lands, etc.... Also check with your insurance company. They may have strong opinions on age vs engine cc.

Does your 1971 have ye olde thermal breaker like this? Hot temps under hood can make a weak one even weaker... There is a simple bimetallic strip inside that opens when hot and closes when your mechanic trouble shoots it later in cooler temps.

Rigid containers are not the only option. "One gallon" zip lock freezer bags come in 2 and 2.5 gallon sizes.
