"Woodstock 50" tickets go on sale 4/22. Let's see how they manage …..100K tickets and 27K campsites.... happy/unhappy ratio on 4/23 will be interesting.

Re: Questions on Solar and Deep Cycle Charging and MORE!

here is some solar math tips for beginners. Panel wattage isn't what it seems. The 100W rating of my first panel translated to 5+ amps at 18ish volts. Your basic economical PWM charge controller simply protects the battery and passes 5+ amps to the battery at an average 14ish volts..... minus a few ...

To be most efficient you could use liquid hydrogen. That would give you the most bang for your buck.

Careful with the ideas... Next question from the OP will be can I drive my own liquid hydrogen truck to the playa?

We have a new ticketing partner! You will not need to create an account in advance of, or during, the purchase process.

Am I safe to assume my old Ticketfly account is being absorbed by the "new partner"?

changes in ticket sales will be within the framework of this merger..... just guessing....

Few decades ago a federally funded study "conclusively" proved nitrates and nitrites in cured meats were a health hazard. Detractors of the study said it only proved laboratory mice shouldn't eat 300 pounds of bacon a day. I thought "wow... lucky lab mice". If the Swiss will pay me in bacon (or choc...

Lasers are a world problem, not a Burning Man problem. FAA tracked 22K incidents in one 4 year period. High power lasers are not just real neat flash lights and should not be sold to the general public. http://www.laserpointersafety.com/news/news/other-news_files/category-eye-effect-or-injury.php#on

Looks like the part we use is in Pershing, the southwest tip of the playa is in Washoe with Gerlach, and the northern tip is in Humboldt. I hope this doesn't mean the kind friendly people(sarc) who police the road in also want some of the playa action.

SSE Interesting guess on the weight. It's empty weight on the ramp when operable was probably 175T. Minus the outer wings, engines, tail.... etc …. I'm guessing 70T in current form. I wonder if anybody can validate our guesses?

They are learning about center of gravity. Normal CG should be close to the mains and only a small fraction of weight on the nose gear. What is happening to the nose gear is what predictably happens when one kid gets off the end of the teeter totter. If anybody from Boeing is listening this would be...
