Last time I had a region issue it took me less than 5 minutes to crack the DVD-player. Google you model and region free and you have a good chance of solving it.
I have GITS SSC, sourced through alternative distribution channels, so I am not interested.

Re: what are you listening to?
Glad to see some more people who appreciates Heilung and Wardrunas proto-folk, or whatever it could be called. I would love to see something like it on the playa. But today it is something compeletely different that is keeping me afloat and keeping the pre-burn blues at bay. https://www.youtube.com/...

Re: what are you listening to?
Because the song reminds me of my grandfather. He passed away from Alzheimer's last spring and I couldn't go back to Sweden for his funeral. So I said my farewells to him in the temple.

Re: Electrolytes for Virgins
A word of caution concerning electrolyte drinks, which I've also posted elsewhere. Drinking electrolytes occasionally is great but don't rely on them exclusively, especially the sweetened versions. Here's a piece of advice given to me during some high temperature, long distance, military marches. Yo...

Re: what are you listening to?
I've spammed this concert everywhere else so I might as well put it here too. Some trace inducing neo-folk music. Music stands on its own but the video is great.

Re: BxB water add on
That is NOT correct. You have to fill the full 5 gallons from each ticket, or forfeit the rest. But you can fill every day up until buses stops coming in, believe that was Thursday last year.pedroescobar wrote: ↑Tue Jul 03, 2018 10:39 amYou have to fill everything at once upon arrival. Or that is how it was last year.

For a split second wanted to believe that it said "The Chruch of the Empty Inbox". Which would have blown my mind wide open.

Re: Eplaya Meet & Greet 2018 (6pm Wed, 9:30 & E)
I will try to make it this time around. Last year was my first burn so I was a bit too busy absorbing impressions to be able to think in terms of being at a specific place at a specific time. I will try to bring some lingonberry mead with me from Sweden. Might have to convince/bribe my fellow travel...

Re: Burner Express Questions
You can pick up water as often as you'd like up until Thursday. But you have to fill the full 5 gallons or forfeit the rest. As for bringing ice I have no experience. But it seems very inconvenient give your very limited luggage allowance. I was on the first bus on Saturday last year and there was, ...

Re: When to arrive
A related question. I was on the Burner Express bus least year so I have no experience with the traffic situation. In terms of your total waiting time, is there any benefit in showing up 6-12 hour prior to the gates opening to get a better spot as opposed to showing up during the night when traffic ...

Re: First time burner from Sweden
The meet and greet sounds like fun. I will see if we can get lost in the right direction. It sounds strange but there are many similarities in camping in tundras and deserts, not just in that it gets cool at night. The dry air is harsh on you airways and makes you lose water, even if it is cold. Lac...

Re: First time burner from Sweden
Thank you. Yes I read it once, twice, trice and have been going over everything tonight. I fly out tomorrow, so I'm just going through my internal checklist. I'm just glad I'm used to living out of backpack for extended periods, though in different climates, makes thing easier. You'd be surprised ho...

First time burner from Sweden
It's all happening! My one and only goal for my two year stay in the US was to go to Burning Man. I believe there were some work related things involved as well but I forget. Last year I got caught in a meeting that dragged on and on and lasted until all the tickets were sold. This year I made sure ...
