Shift Pod - Ducted Swamp or Dual Hose AC
Camping in a shift pod this year. Have a dual hose 12k AC, and have grid power at camp. Buddy and I are sharing a 8000/10000 watt genny as a back up to grid power. Wondering what would cool our shift pod better - the 12k BTU portable AC, or a outdoor swamp cooler with make shift ducting into the dua...

Re: Shift Pod, Dual Hose AC, Generator Questions
I’m asking specifically if anyone has used retail evaporative coolers on the playa with success. I’m aware of the figjam bucket. I have one. I’ve been told it won’t work in the shift pod. Wondering if a bigger, retail one will.

Re: Shift Pod, Dual Hose AC, Generator Questions
Anyone know if the evaporative coolers sold at Home Depot work on the playa? Seems like they might actually be meant to be ran inside a structure. Would this be an issue? Would be way more energy efficient on the genny than an AC.

Shift Pod, Dual Hose AC, Generator Questions
Greetings. My partner and I are being lent a shift pod for the burn this year by a very generous colleague whom is taking the year off. I have questions for those of you that have used a pod with a dual hose air conditioner. Will a 10-14k BTU AC keep the shift pod cool enough during the day to get s...

Re: Alumicloth - Verdict?
Contacted seller. Aluminet is a trademarked name. Alumicloth is exactly the same, just made by a different manufacturer.

Alumicloth - Verdict?
Been shopping for aluminet and have stumbled across alumicloth. 80% instead of 70, and it's cheaper (I don't understand this?). Has anyone used it? Is it durable?
