Re: PVC based shade structure over 10X14 Kodiak tent advice

Not sure when I'll be setting it up next but for reference. I used 1/2" pvc. I superglued/E600'd the connector pieces on selected portions of the frame to secure one side, then drilled through the other connected side such that you can put a bolt through the top and a nut on bottom to keep them in p...

Re: Kodiak 10x14 Simple Shade Structure and PVC Question

Actually my roommate took a picture and just found it. It's perfect because it shows another kodiak to the right of ours without the setup for comparison. There is a "baby" kodiak directly in front of our tent in the photo but it should suffice. On the far left we had a camp/group shade structure fo...

Re: Kodiak 10x14 Simple Shade Structure and PVC Question

I'll throw my two cents on this thread too since sharing is caring. Hello Everyone! I'm not sure if this is still relevant to your thread but I opted not to build a monkey hut but rather create a lightweight PVC structure that can attach directly to the Kodiak tension rods. The picture below was fro...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Sounds like a loose connection Possibly but i tinkered with them a bit and couldn't get a response from any adjustments. Pretty sure i was using a 27DC or 29DC from interstate battery. You mean Group 27 or Group 29? That is (mostly) the outside dimensions of the battery. Makes very little differenc...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Shout out to FIGJAM as always for the how-to articles. My cooler was a disaster this year. It sounded like the fan kicked into a low power mode after Day 2. There were sporadic intervals of full power followed by long spouts of barely any breeze :(. Any ideas? I'm going to gut it and redo it for BEq...
