I would not go this route. Most of the flame throwers at BRC are propane which is much more safer than denatured alcohol. Propane doesn't stick to clothes and keep burning. Well at least not as much as being soaked in flaming alcohol. That kid just made a glorified version of a lighter and a can of ...

If you are going to be using the computers all day I would build some sort of box to put them in with a fan on the side that has a filter over the fan like an A/C. If you don't do something drastic like that I would just say bye bye to them after BM because they will be dust. I am guessing you have ...

wa! wa! wa!

Strange. I try and camp near all the boom boom camps. It helps me sleep and everyone is more willing to party late. I do agree, lots of electronic music is crap, but for every bad artist there are 2 more that are good if not great. At the same time, a bad DJ can make good music sound like crap. Just...

-Do you prefer to go digital or SLR if digital how do you combat the Memory card size problem? I bring both. I carry a small inexpensive digital point and shoot everywhere I go for snapshots. If you are worried about the memory problem buy another card or set your camera to a lower resolution. I als...

I have this nieghborhoody sweatshirt that says Black Rock City on it and I have been ask a few times about it. I love the fact that only burners understand what city I am from. Plus, it gives me a chance to explain what BRC is to the unfortunate people who have never made it home. I have only seen o...

Garment District!

Most big cities have a garment district. I usually go to the one in LA and get yards and yards of fabric for 99 cents a yard. When it only costs $15 for fabric you don't feel so bad throwing it away. I usually go with colored linen but anything really works minus the velvet.

Its all about the burrito pizza! Beans, Cheese, salsa and avocados. YUM! Actually, I really dig that strange wombo pizza thing from Round Table Pizza. It has some sort of strange "Polynesian" sauce. Also any pizza with pineapple.

Of course Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2 were amazing. I watched the first one on DVD and then went to the theatre right after to see the 2nd. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was great as well. I have seen that 2 times now. The character Kate W plays could be a burner. She has good style at the mini...

Its all about the breakfast burritos!

My signature Burning Man/Camping breakfast food is egg and potatoe breakfast burritos. Just buy the pre-packaged Potatoes O' Brian in a bag, cook those, throw whatever else you want in there, add eggs, then give everyone Tapitio, cheese and tortillas. Viola! Instant breakfast for a large grou...

not too bad

I quit at 1am then I went back on at 3 and had no problemat all. I was talking to someone earlier in the day about how the servers are probably going to crash at 12:15 because of the traffic. They didn't crash, but they were probably pretty close.

Personally, having been to BM for 3 years now. I could never just sit at my house the week the festival is going on knowing what crazy shit is happening 700 miles away.
