Re: Any tips for hauling a trailer you can share with a newb

what's in the back of the truck? It better be heavier than the trailer, or else the trailer will be driving and steering the truck. keep weight over the axles, not in the ends. does the trailer have brakes? what is the hitch rating? is it a factory hitch? trailer light pigtail? go down hill in the s...

Re: BLM Needs VIP treatment as well.

Typically more than half the contacts with ESD are for blisters and lacerations. I couldn't find the 2014 stats in the AfterBurn report, but most of the other AfterBurn Reports do have the stats. This is from 2013. Approximately 62% (n~2300) of the patients treated by ESD involved minor complaints ...

Sparr: just think about YOU tripping over yours, or a neighbors tent rope, falling and impaling yourself on the tent stake... edit to add: not to forget the water trucks that spray the roads for dust abatement. They generally spray water to the edge of the road.......not to worry mud is good in you...

Re: Directly driving 36v golf cart with 12v genny

comment: DC motors run on lower voltage than nameplate all the time. The key is to watch the amps. The horsepower is a lot less. A 36 volt motor at 55amps creates 2 horsepower ( according to the original post ) At 12 volts, 55 amps it will turn 1/3 the rpm, create the same torque, and 1/3 the horsep...

so, what if the wind blows in such a direction that the swamp cooler is on the leeward, low pressure side of the structure? would this create a lower negative pressure than the solar chimney? thus when it is windy ( hot afternoons ) the chimney would suck in dust. unless the water based evaporative ...

Re: How much will playa dust scratch clear vinyl (a zorb)?

The scariest part of this: A wind blown ZORB with a human inside. Neither can be controlled, neither can speed and direction. ZORB and human get rolling along 8 - 10 mph and LEO starts chasing. looking for a speeding citation. ZORB and human roll into a 'pyrotechnic' spewing 'art' car. POOF puncture...

also, automobile generator and alternator output is rated at a fairly high rpm. An older Delco alternator is rated 32 amps at 2000rpm, but 63 amps at 5000rpm.
keep in mind that the generator or alternator field will take 4 - 5 amps.
