It's safe to say the weather is completely unpredictable (heat and wind aside). Last year was REALLY mellow - calm and warm at nights. Typically, it's not that mellow. It can get BITTER cold at night, it can be windy all night, it can rain like crazy, it can do whatever the ruck it wants. Expect not...

lol. That thing is bad ass! Not bringing it this year?

As for the skateboard, I understand what you mean, but I think you'll be fine. I don't think they are regulated, and mostly piggyback on the scooter rule....

You can swing by the DMV whenever they are open? Also, now you got me really curious! What has more than 2 wheels and no seat???? Pics? Well, ok, I have something that has 3 wheels and no seat, but mine is mutant, and one of a kind, so I'm wondering what yours looks like! haha EDIT: Nevermind, I'm s...

Man, this was a fun thread to read! I can't believe you thought someone was gonna give you their pass! haha. The MV situation is getting tough. With the city getting as packed as it is, I didn't even ride my mv during the latter part of the week because I was afraid of running into someone. They hav...

You got it. If you stand in the middle of the plaza, facing the keyhole that opens into the Esplanade, you are staring down the 12:00 of the plaza. If you are walking into the plaza from the Esplanade, directly ahead of you is the 6:00. ....Personally, I think that's bass acwards, but hey, it's not ...

I'm with Dork on this. Have you tried craigslist? There are plenty of ride opportunities out of SF! Tens of thousands of people from the Bay Area heading to the same place, there is bound to be room for you somewhere. Plus, seeing as you're both virgins, you may ride up with a veteran and get some m...

Re: Do you plan out and attend the events in the Booklet?

I have trouble judging time when on the playa yet every year I spend two hours the first day ooohing and awwing about things I wanna do in the booklet and then wonder what i missed at the end of the week when i realize i havent picked it back up the entire time. Maybe it is just me. Just curious. h...

If you do want to join a theme camp you must remember that many many people have spent a lot of time and money to bring these large interactive camps to the city. The amount they charge is to help defray the costs of these camps, which are not cheap, let me tell you! $5000+ of booze we're giving aw...

I'm gonna guess the wheel is that street that goes around center camp - the confusing one that fucks with your head cause it's all out of whack with the rest of the streets. haha.

I think feedback loop was the best ever name for it. lol

Noonish on Sat should be no problem at all. That's about what time I've arrived the last few years, and I've yet to sit in much of a line. The sunday traffic is not there yet, so it's just the early arrivals. There's not that many, and tipically they know what they are doing, so it's a lot easier on...
