my vanilla chapstick seems boring now compared to thermite.

As much as i disagree w/ you cowboyangel, i'm a little dissapointed i didn't get to see the truthburn (that was you right...?) Thermite burning is on my list of things i really want to see.

It is one of the bigger regattas, definitely biggest in the Southeast... we did surprisingly well for never having rowed together and being out of shape. I've definitely had worse rows before. we ended up coming in 6th/19 so we were all very happy w/ ourselves. We definitely looked the best too, we ...

Ring, i didn't see where you were from earlier, but now i do. I was in Chatt last weekend for the head of the hooch. Me and some fellow out of shape ex rowers decided to have a little fun and enter a boat in the race. The weather was perfect for an afternoon on the river!

It's quite simple actually. Place plastic jar of vaseline underneath 75 pounds of burning man gear. Add playa tent-sauna for 8 days. Presto, a perfectly exploded jar of vaseline. Give it a try some time; it's loads of fun. And, yes, it will work oneeyed. ahaha....i mean....that sucks.... Som...

things that remind you of the playa...

Yesderday i found some leftover 'propel' powder that i had taken out to the playa with me. when i mixed it in my water i felt like i was back in the middle of the black rock desert! it was great. that and vanilla flavored chapstick are two things that always make me think of the playa. So what type ...

Lost: Browning Camo knife w/ black blade

So sad b/c this is the first pocket knife i've actually been able to hold on too for an extended period of time (almost 4 or 5 years!). It's a camo (reg. camo) Browning fold out knife with a black blade. Blade is probably around 2.5 inches long. The knife has a black belt clip on one side. If by som...

Re: rainbow

SO, I have yet to see in photos what I saw with my eyes - a second set of lines below the lowest bow. It was ROYGBIVROYGBIV. Anybody else get that? I saw exactly what you are talking about. Not a distinct third rainbow by any means, but the bottom rainbow was double thickness! it was beautiful...i'...

I say just start wearing sandals and flip flops (even go bare foot) for most of the year before you get out to the playa. This way your feet get used to it. I'm not sure if there is any validity to this approach, but thats what I did and my feet were fine all week. I did maybe 2 vinegar foot baths d...

what was the size of the city?

I know i've seen the figures somewhere...but i can't find them. So what were the dimensions of the city? How many miles across from trash fence to trash fence?

I've been trying to describe BRC to my non burner friends and some concrete numbers would help them out a lot.

re-charging batteries...will it run the car battery down?

I'm going to be re-charging batteries pretty much constantly using a car adaptor, i'll probably only have 4 AA of 4 AAA going at a time. Do I have to worry about running the car's battery down?
