Sounds like kids doing stupid kid stuff. Keep your eyes peeled for how this gets spun in the press. Hopefully it goes away without building steam for more domestic terrorism bills that take more of our rights away.

I heard there was gonna be a wooden 200 foot tower to climb up. It's a V.I.P. nightclub with a dress code. Apparently you have to be wearing a faux fur glowing jacket to get in. No hats are allowed due to gang related problems in past years. But it's supposed to be really cool once you get in. Free ...

Yep, that's one of the reasons I moved. Mmm, frozen hair and car batteries. That's the type of weather where you can be inside a toasty warm room, look outside and actually see the cold, in the air. You'll have no problem dealing with the harsh conditions of the playa, instead of freezing cold, it g...

I used to live in Minneapolis near the Walker. I heard it's a wee bit chilly over there as of late.

I imagine your skills will do you well on the playa.

Cheers!

Thanks for the encouragement...

NOW, if I could just wrassle up a prison-themed art car, a permission slip from the DMV and a crew of willing enablers, oh and some hoods for the abductees to wear.

Anyone have any ideas?

Burning Man: Fun for the Whole Family! Isn't the idea to be part of a community more than anything? I wouldn't go back to the burn if it were all 20 and 30 somethings. That would get boring very fast. Being in an intergenerational relationship myself, I got to experience Burning Man through the eyes...

An entire camp. Wow, that is a whole lot more than I had in mind. You are taking it to a vastly different level. My original intention was to ultimately mix people together randomly, not put them through a whole prison experience. The costumes and vehicle might be dressed for dramatic flare and to m...

I don't even know if this is gonna happen. I just wanted to throw the idea out and see the response. I love "Stripes" and Bill Murray, and totally got the absurd false death threats thing too, but sometimes it's hard to tell for sure without lots of smily faces to denote humor, or just kidding-ness....

I thought you might. :D They wouldn't be spanked too hard, unless they wanted to be... I promise. Being blindfolded could be considered as a way to experience the sounds of the playa without all the overstimulating visual distractions. Instead of thinking of it as "kidnapping". Consider being taken ...

Forceful Random People Mixing Squad

A vehicle with the ability to to hold an excess group of people rolls into an area populated with BRC Citizens. A random person is taken aboard the vehicle, blindfolded, spanked, and brought to a random camp or place in the playa. Sometimes chaos must be controlled by force, thus creating more chaos...

I have an 18 foot PVC dome from Shelter Systems. Overall it is great. It withstood the winds of 2007, but nearly failed a couple of times. Then again I only had 4 guy lines, next year I will make sure to have 12 guy lines with the heavy duty bungie to let it play in the wind. One of my neighbors had...

Bring lights/fire and glowy things to wear at night. Seriously, the more the better. Glowsticks work, but you can do better with el wire and a headlamp on your head. Plus glowstix don't last that long, become garbage and aren't that bright. It is very dark and hard to see people and obstacles at nig...

This is a good idea. While I doubt the theme is going to change, I really like the word Zeitgeist.
