You're right about having to remove heat that is produced. From lights, cooking, TV, computer, dishwasher etc. We have a gas fireplace (which sucks) that has a pilot light . Two summers ago I shut the valve off for it. Today I went to Lowes and got two 4ftx25ft rolls of a product called Reflectix In...

To robbidobbs: There are 5 places that I can think of that burners can dumo their trash in the Reno area. (1) The Lockwood dump. To get there, going west on I80 take the Mustang exit which is just past the commercial vehicle inspection lot. There will be a Cheveron gas station on the oppisite side. ...

In response to diane o 'thirst comments on biofuels: In the Sunday May 13, 2007 issue of the Nevada Appeal newspaper bussiness section, the front page article was about an entrepreneur in Wabuska, NV (north of Yerrington) who has a way to make biodiesel from algae. Great! Sempra has backed out but the threat is still there. Thanks bob for posting those sites. Anybody who is for or against that power plant or if you don't care either way, might want to look at those sites.

I forgot to mention a few other things. Prior to filling up with biodiesel, we started saving our waste cooking oil (WVO) from home and donated it to the place I fill up at since they make the stuff there, primarly for their own agriculture use but they sell the surplus. It was only about 40oz, but ...

About two years ago the local newspapers in Carson City and Reno, as well as the local tv/radio news told that a coal power plant is "proposed" for the Black Rock Desert. Several months ago the BM web site told their neutrual position about it and have'nt heard anything from the media regarding it.

Last week I started running 50/50 biodiesel in my 03 Jetta, so I'm on my second tank w/o problems. I'll use it until the temperatures drop to around 40 which will probably be in October, resort back to straight diesel for the winter and replace the fuel filter.

Regardless of what kind of vehicle you use for the towing, four things you want to check or have checked by a good mechanic is first and foremsost, the towing vehicles brakes. To assist in braking, alot of trailers have a surge brake built into the drawbar, some have electric brakes (which the towin...

You might try U-haul or Penske. They have auto tranpoters. I don't know what they would charge for a one week, round trip rental. Might be pricey but it's a place to start. They will want to know what type of vehicle is doing the towing and what is being towed. If you decorated for arguments sake sa...

Don't want to discourage you from having fun but BE CAREFUL OF "PEOPLE HANGING OFF IT." I know you're aware of that. A few years ago a young lady lost her life by jumping off a moving mutant vehicle.

I replaced all 6 shocks for the second time (PROCOMP 9000's) and while I was under the front axle I noticed the oil pan gasket is leaking. Guess I'll include a drip pan in my thi...
