a little humility

Shove it. And while you're at it, go back and read the TOS that you just signed. Remember the part about no advertising? Actually, since they're not asking to play for money, I'm not sure this counts as an ad. However, while I have no problem with a band seeking a stage to play on, I have a huge pr...

I get 52 on the highway, but then again it's a motorcycle; does that count? One thing about biodesiel or any plant-based fuel is that in theory it should reduce carbon emissions. If you grow crops you are taking carbon out of the air, then you burn them and put that carbon back in the air. From a ca...

As this guy is proving, limiting post counts is a waste of time. Anyone who wants to do this type of attack will simply create multiple accounts.

I doubt it's a script. If you check the timestamps on the posts there are a couple of minutes between each posting. A script would be much faster. It sounds like someone has way too much time on his hands.

Good comments Chai Guy. Regarding drugs: As I mentioned on Tribe, when are people going to realize that every major holiday or event in the US, whether it's a NASCAR race, rock concert, football game, New Years Eve, July 4th, whatever, involves massive and pervasive drug use. The drug is alcohol. An...

You've hinted at what his anxieties are but I think you need to get him to be specific and then address them. "like" doesn't count

All of those articles you link to are just interviews in which MS marketing people claim their event is similar to Burning Man. Am I missing something?

I'm not seeing where the BMOrg licenced anything. The Microsoft blogs simply compare their event to Burning Man (incorrectly, I might add). They're not using "Burning Man" in the event title or in their marketing. Trademark law does not give the Org the right to prevent any mention of the words "Bur...

The Moon as big as Mars this year!

That's right! This year the moon will be as big as Mars on the night of the burn. Due to a once-in-a-lifetime planetary alignment the moon will actually be 10 million miles from earth. It will be so dim that it will appear as if there is no moon at all that night! It's true!

I don't know how they do it in Nevada, but in California when the ABC sends out it's underage decoys they have certain rules they have to follow, the most relevant of which is that the decoy cannot lie about their age (nor can they use fake IDs). If Nevada operates the same way, then you can protect...

Also, very important, is how many air holes does your perspective goggles have? If you buy a pair with a lot of air holes you can use duct tape to seal most of the holes to keep the fine dust from penetrating the goggles. Don't seal ALL the holes though because then the goggles will fog. Actually, ...
