Re: ERROR - code assigned to you was already used

I'm not surprised by the bitterness. I think it would really brighten this place up if people kept it to themselves. Especially in a thread where someone was just seeking help with a website error. I hope you leave that bitterness at home when you go to the event, unfortunately not everybody does. ...

Re: ERROR - code assigned to you was already used

How about this: the policy allowing those who can afford the pre-sale to also participate in the main sale sucks all kinds of ass. Nope. Like most things, it has both positives and negatives. On the positive side, it provides a legit way for families with more than two people over the age of 12 to ...

Re: End of radical self sufficiency - shift to radical community

The event has two big problems. Plug & play camps, and the busses. Yeah I know, how does someone who flew in from Farbackistan get to the playa and cover their needs... well, the answer is THEY DON'T! This shit is ruining the event. The biggest difference between BM and a vacation at a resort was t...

Re: Discuss Philosophical Ticketing Policy - Was Lone Ticketing Genius

I like Badger's idea as well, because there's no way to prevent people from entering both pre- and main sale. It's as easy as creating two Burner Profiles and using different credit cards. Or, if you're a couple, one of you enters the pre-sale, the other the main sale.

You'd never see this happen in another city like Mountain View or Sacramento! When the Sacramento Bee starts writing about the benifits of recreational drug use, then you can compare it to Black Rock City. Not sure about the Bee, but the Sacramento News & Review pretty much depends on recreational ...

Re: Vandals Strike 2016 Sound Camp Infrastructure

As for blocking people who got tickets in the pre-sale from participating in later sales, that's pretty much impossible, because a set of 4 tickets is for 4 people, not one. No matter what rules you apply, one person can buy in one sale, and another from the same group can buy in another sale. That...

I'm a parent of 3 who thinks allowing kids at Burning Man is a crucial part of keeping the event something more than just a huge party in the desert, but I'm not in favor of shutting the city down in the case of a missing kid. Child abduction by a stranger, while it does occur, is exceedingly rare i...

Re: Finding a new MOOPhole

Let me randomly drop in this factoid: The Black Rock Desert that we know and love, (mostly the perimeter close to the road) was once a dumping ground for the locals who needed a place for their junk cars, old appliances, household trash, endless empty beer cans and bottles and anything else they wa...

I don't personally give a crap about super small size moop, as long as it's not actual trash or junk left behind. It's a goddamm dead desert. OK sure there's microscopic organic shit going on. So what. I only care that the site passes the BLM white glove test. Yep. And that dye more than likely ble...

I was mostly bummed people were making a big deal about it, whether it was true or not. I love Bowie, but I hate how celebrity culture has seeped into Burning Man. It's the fucking opposite of the point of the event, in my opinion.

If you have illegal drugs then definitely act like everyone is an undercover cop, don't talk to any strangers. Your d...
