Re: Costume & Crafting Help

I have a bunch of thin fabric that I want to make into flags for my MV, right now it's just a 2yd piece of fabric. My thought is to cut it to the desired shape, then use 'stitch witchery' fusible bonding tape for the edges. Then lay a bead of hot glue along the back edge of the flag and place it on ...

The NSA is going to tag everybody coming through the gate with chips in order to track your conversations throughout BRC, since there is hardly any cell phone service there.

DO obey the speed limit (before you get to the traffic-jam part). Speeding increases dust for everyone. DO NOT try to cut in and out to gain advantage. a) it doesn't work b) you don't want to be that guy DO be prepared with food/drink/toilet resources. DO NOT start full on partying. Driver must be ...

So looking at the map, I am thinking I will be landing on H at the end of the reserved area, say 4:25ish. Great to see all the spaceships on 4:30. My spaceship ...

fiberglass question

I've aquired a few of these 1/4" round, 4' fiberglass poles that I want to make flag poles with, but I'm not sure of how to join them together. My first thought was something for like a fishing pole, or some such. Ideas? https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/923204_10151583071791484...

maybe we can even get Barbie's Mobile Whorehouse to tag along blaring music and schlepping supplies. If the Whorehouse is not able to whore itself out for the Tour on one of those days, just send somebody over a few blocks over to grab me and my g/f, and our MV, we'll happily supply blaring music (...

Yep, same as above, but I've found them as cheap as $1.00us around this time of year at the evil Wal-mart/K-mart and dollar stores. The cheap black plastic ones I have slip right over a piece of re-bar, and most of them are on multiple burns of use.

Really got into the lighting and wiring of my MV. Found more dead EL wire and RBG LED strips then I thought there was. So...If by chance anybody has any spare 12v EL wire transformers, or any kind of blinky lighting for that matter, I'd be more than happy to take it, and put it on the 'BRC Guardian ...

i love this thread! where on earth did you find that barrel for only $15? Try army surplus stores, and/or "tool" stores. Local to me, there's a place called 'Skyway tools' and they are always advertising food grade plastic and metal barrels for a very inexpensive price. I'm sure you'd be able to fi...

When leaving the city and if you want to get back in, each of you will need to pay $20.00, then you'll get a wristband put on your right wrist. You will be able to return into the city any time the gate is still open (I think they close the incoming gate Saturday night?) Do not cut off your wristban...

I had TnT's absinthe Jello shots last year and lived to tell about it. I know Yggy did the same. Though I'm not a fan of Jello shots in general (little known fact: Tom Lehrer is the alleged "inventor" of the Jello shot), I do have a weakness for absinthe. So there you go, sacrifices sometimes must ...

Kind of an odd "thing a day" but... I was laid off my job of 22 years last month, so one of my first thoughts (not the first, but one of the top 5 at least) was to figure my finances for the rest of the year to the worst extreme (not being able to find a job within the next month or so) and figuring...

What might help take it from - ho-hum to "wow" would be to think beyond just covering the bottom. Make it have a thematic whimsical element to it. You could mount plastic sharks circling the outside; at night they could light up and maybe you could find someone to help "animate" them by el lighting...
