Re: Inland Empire? :\

Half my camp is in the I.E. - you're not alone! Check out the artsy part of Riverside, you'll find more of them hanging out in the coffee shops down there :)

T.C. lady at Jareth this past weekend!

I was in the leather harness with the Assassins Creed guy. You were in the awesome leather mask. We talked outside on Saturday in the food court for awhile. I didn't catch your name, but I'd love to say hi!

My personal camp favorite of the week... *after the Man burn, as we're lighting our (metal) bar on fire* "Uhh, guys? Where's the fire extinguisher?" "Under the bar!" ".....The bar is on fire guys." And heard many, many times, in regards to our very visibly placed "MINORS FUCK OFF" sign on the bar......

Re: You can get ANYTHING there!!!

P.S. I used a kid's camelpak the last two years for the same reason (being small and all that). It worked fine as far as fit, but it didn't really provide enough water for me so I had to carry an extra bottle of water in it on those across-playa treks. *sigh* That is a problem with the smaller ones...

Thanks for the recommendations! The watermaster one looks like it'd be a good shape for me... The ambush is what I was carrying last year, and it was just too much, but I'll have to go try the other one one. And the first one, the side carrying would be great too..

Re: Camel Back for your waist

I got a fanny pack camel back from REI about 5 years ago for my first burn and it's been great every year since. It doesn't hold as much water but it's always got me there and back during the day and night. It's a little heavy when you first put it on but it hangs on your waist so I don't notice it...

I'm with you on the not sticking with a Camelpak thing - more than open to other ideas! I did the carry a water bottle thing last year, and it worked, I'm just anti things in my hands :D (picky picky, I know). I think I need to find a canteen maybe that will hold enough water for me, or a belt I cou...

Camelpack/similiar thing for a small torso'd woman

Last year, I took my boyfriends Camelpak with me. He's a lot bigger than I am through the chest, so I ended up not wearing it, because it was so damn uncomfortable. So, my hope for this year is to find a water carrying backpack device type thing that will fit a very short torso'd female with wide sh...

So, when do we find out if our camp has (or god forbid, hasn't) been accepted? Do I just go with the "no news is good news" option? Or should I b...
