your timeline seems a little last minute. if your team can pre build this thing and then only have to reassemble it on the playa you have less chance of problems arising.

I think FB is starting to decline. the amount of spam apps, and if you click on this all your friends will get a message to click on it as well apps, is just the beginning of the decline. A decline into what? i don't know.... I presume that some large multi national company will build what they thin...

My worry that the momentum will be with the Kevins of the world is idealistic and unneeded. If BM becomes the tourist destination of the privileged and I never see the true spirit of the event due to my late-arrival to the "party"... well, c'est la vie. BM is already a major tourist destination, wh...

BM is raking in lots of cash, the anual budget that gets published is so padded, I can only imagine how many people need this event to happen for them to make money. All the while the same old bullshit is fed to the "participants" without you there wouldn't be an event. Ya right, if everyone who act...

I also herd this same rumor at the festival, so I set out to look into it, I didn't actually go for a ride on the thing, but the guys on it were middle age men, with "party dude" type clothes, and they were having a conversation win a couple of police officers. My conclusion was that it was true. Al...

I'm no engineer, so I can't help you with number crunching, but the assumption that the thing will weigh itself down to the ground is dangerous. The largest structure I have been involved with on playa is the roots society's dome's. they are much heavier than your project and they are anchored down ...

There are plenty of rednecks from Alberta that go to the playa, check your local regional network for an Email list or website. Also look into snowflake village, they were AB heavy a few years back

[quote="Tazz"]Had three Canadians (2 maritimers and one from AB) in my camp this past year. Great folks, eh! Not exactly a positive experience, but definitely felt appreciative on the night of the burn. i've driven the route you have mapped a few times, but I don't drive a diesel... so i doubt I can be of much assistance. My advice would be to install a fuel filter right after the gas tank as they are inexpensive and will prevent playa dust sludge from entering the fuel pump/carburetor/etc and gumming everything up. I know that the 1000 and 2000 do not have a fuel filter installed; I'm unsure about the 3000. this is...

EU3000is owner, and yes eco mode is way better for noise reduction, but if your using it to run a sound system then leave it off. Every time one of the sub's needs a big draw of power, you want it to be there. This isn't always possible with eco mode.. if your just using it to run lights, and genera...
