Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

The STUBHUB user agreement refers to this type of item as a "SPECULATIVE TICKET ". (section 2.1a(III) The good thing is that out of what is likely now over 20,000 tickets distributed, there are only 80 on Stubhub. That is under 0.5%. Only 80 right now, yeah, but many have already sold. And there ar...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

Even though this is a computerized process, I doubt they will issue tickets outside of business hours as if anything went wrong you would need to have people working to resolve it. Looks like tickets are being drawn from around 9am - 5pm, you have 4 hours before drawing will potentially start again...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

Really, I always wonder why people who live in such worlds of make-believe where systems can be perfectly foolproofed even deign to go to Burning Man. Not sure what that sentence was meant to say, but if you meant "you're crazy to want this to be perfect", I didn't say I wanted it to be perfect. He...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

I've read it from the moderators, from the BMORG, from the main ticket page, from the FAQ, and in the JRS. You missed it? Here's one of the quotes: It does help prevent scalpers from purchasing tickets. Our ticket vendor has advanced filtering techniques to flag duplicates and prevent multiple entr...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

BMORG's editor could use a little less caffeine, I think. I can condense this run-on sentence down and make it a lot more readable (and true): STEP will give Burners with extra tickets a safe, no-hassle way to sell their tickets back into the community, and a way for those needing tickets to buy the...

It's not that I'm into RVs it's just that I can't travel with a tent (you can just have one suitcase) Just like there are RVs in the US, there are also tents. Re: the "lottery" negates the need to have tiers at all

the lower-priced tiers are made that way in order to generate a large cash-flow earlier in the year Assuming that was true for the past, is it true for the lottery-ticket present and future? Does randomizing ticket pricetags ensure people buy them any sooner? If tickets were all the same price thro...
