Yeah thats why I'm on the fence. Reviews range from "This thing rocks!" to "What a piece of crap!"
Just wanted some opinions from some people with playa experience.
Will definitely set it up two or three time and maybe beef up the anchoring if I get it.

Opinions on shade structure

What do you guys think of this. I've been looking at it for a while now an it looks like it might work. If I get the side walls and put them on the East and South side it should give me max shade. Maybe even line the inside with space blankets for extra UV protection. Canvas tarp for floor and pitch...

BTW, Arizona Green Tea IS the most awesome beverage ever created. It's the only reason I'm considering bringing a cooler :P

Welcome AB I'm a virgin myself and have also been looking for.....something. I try to spend most of my energy on the logistics. I still let my mind wonder about how awesome it will be, though. I guess we both just have to show up. I think that might be the only way to really "get it." I like the vid...

Whats this "Burning Man" you speak of. This is a message board for coprophagic businessmen with severe meth addictions.

...isn't it? :?

Fuck!

I gotta give my bookmarks more identifiable names

Bad news, man. They canceled BM. Disney bought them out and moved the whole event to Orlando. Theme camps will be replaced with make-your-own teddy bear and t-shirt factories. The Man will be replaced with a giant animatronic Micky that dances to Hannah Montana songs on Saturday. I can't wait! Some ...

The parts I can't hitchhike I'll probably greyhound. Or grab a train. Or walk. Or not move for a while. Or hitchhike anyways. The road will tell! :D If you have not already, you might want to look at a globe or world map to gain an understanding of the distances in this country. It takes me somethi...

Some LEDs work in reverse to some degree, probably the basis for photodiodes and solar cells. It's kind of an obsolete idea, but fine for what I have in mind. I need fast response and good sensitivity and the ability to throw a contact. Won't a photoresistor react too slowly? The ones I used I was ...

So I'm back from my trip. I was sitting around in my parent's trailer watching my family chain smoke and drink enough Pepsi to put a small horse in diabetic shock and came to some conclusions. First, I don't want to sit around and just be sick, watch TV, and wait to die. I love my family but have dr...

Yeah Jk, I've given it a good deal of thought and I suppose I could actually get there but I don't know if I would be any where near prepared enough to really appreciate it. I really dont know how I would get my shade structure and all the water I'll need in my little car an then try to drive the 30...

NoVa/DC area virgin burning in the new decade!

Hey everyone! I'm Frosty from the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C. area but, originally from Ohio. I've been aware of Burning Man for awhile however, after a rather rough summer, I decided I really need to make some changes in my life and BM seemed like a good place to begin that process. A few mo...

I was thinking of for '10 making a metric shiton of either leather or metal pendants with the Burning Man logo branded or stamped on them with a nice little saying on the back. You can borrow the idea for '09. But if you want something you can just order...Hmm let me sleep on that. I gotta be up for...

I, unfortunately, will still be a virgin until 2010, so all my advice comes from what I have gleaned off the website and such for the last few months. Hope I'm not talking outta my ass here but here goes. As far as gifting goes (any not JUST on the playa either) things with a personal touch have 100...

Re: Stilt Walker

Hey all, I have been wanting to come out to the burn but find logistics a little daunting. I'm east coast based, although I've met alot of burners who have been interested in trying out my spring stilts. I guess running and leaping as if you are always on a trampoline has a certain appeal to those ...
