Re: coffee

1. Buy a large unbreakable French press. I believe I purchased one from Cost Plus that was made from stainless steel and cost something around $39. It's more expensive than the glass ones but they won't break. Unless you try putting them on stoves...... They are thermally insulated so they also kee...

Cool! Thank you. I think it may still be out of my price range for this year but it's good to keep in mind if what ever cheap option I come up with this year doesn't work the way I hoped.

I like advice from people who..er.. are recommending things based on personal experience. hehe.

And now for something completely different.

Thank you! This will be my second year and thanks to the advice and tips from this forum I am upgrading from a ramshackled and dust filled tent to a dome. It looks beautiful in my back yard so far. I'm still considering all the options of dome covering but I'm well on my way. How have everyone's pla...

Do you mean this stuff: http://www.materialconcepts.com/store/index.php?crn=210&rn=25&action=show_detail It looks pretty expensive for my purposes. I think I would need 4 rolls of the stuff for my dome. That's over $300 for a cover... and I have around $200 for the dome itself. Is it worth it? Do yo...

I'm trying to build something that's pretty close to sealed to make a low dust place to sleep during storms. And something insulated would be nice too so I'm hoping to get the multi layered stuff. I'll have a second chamber attached to it so air can get in but the body of the structure I want to hav...

6:00-10:00 am come by Cafe Kona. Depending on the day you may find me serving delicious Kona coffeeeeeee (and fresh masala chai or other teas). It should be at 9:00 Plaza. :-) And I fully support everyone else's suggestions to make your own. If you have the means to do it then bring enough to share ...

I've got some vinyl on it's way for flooring but not enough for the rest of the structure.. Still looking. And here are some interesting pages I found. Specifically this one on dome coverings: http://www.weasel.com/dome_cover.html This other page looked pretty cool too. It gave me ideas anyway: http...

Phase 1 of dome complete. Now to cover it.. tips?

With stargeezer's mathematical advice I was able to build this 8ft radius dome with less than a yard of total waste conduit! Now I'm trying to sort out the coverings. I've found a few places that really go into the options but I wonder what people think about it. Last year during a dust storm I stum...

You people are great! I've been planning to build my first dome in the next few weeks. I've been reading up on other people's methods, tips and... mistakes. I think I'm looking for something in the 12' to 15' diameter range. I think I want to try building a 3v dome. What tips do you have for that si...

Water storage? Personal favorite?

What is everyone's favorite water storage method? I went last year with someone who had 15 gallon stand up drums complete with hand pump. It was wonderful. What is your favorite method? ... Do you know where to find them? PS: How well do you think I can keep hydrated on my homebrew beer? :-) And how...

Crunchy

Fried bullfrog. Hmmm. Never had it. I like the price of that stuff. Do you use their spray product yourself? Do you taste good?

Fried crickets taste great but I don't really want to become one. Not a good long term plan anyway.

Favorite spray sunscreen

I get lots of sun out there. There isn't much between me and the sun most of the day... So what should I use to keep me from turning me into a fried cricket? I didn't have any problem last year but I made friends with a new fangled "spray on sunscreen" which I'd never used before and may have change...
