Small world-- I was a bartender at that very casino when you did that, though I never heard the story until now. It wasn't a huge fire! It was quickly contained with my hand and didn't require assistance, I just singed a lot of my hair (about an inch on my right side of big hair) and had to l...

There is a long standing tradition for a lot of booze to be buried in the playa during 4th of juplaya. This is the cache seeding process used for GC during the event. A metal detector does come in handy. Lockwoodlady, from the man back to camp for breakfast bloody marys is a lovely idea! I al...

We were 2 geocachers from Norway who visited Cookie & Faith's geocache at Burning Man in 2006. That was great! Thank you! She still has the banner, we are going to use it again for our logbook! This may turn annual! In fact, we may be even using the same event and reactivating it. It depends on gro...

40 isn't old.....if you're a tree.

I didn't find it funny at the time. I actually saw this one on the wall at the bar in Gerlach about 3 weeks before the big forty. Now I find the humor in it

Interesting. So basically, it's a high-tech version of a scavenger hunt then. JK Yeah you got i, go to geocaching.com if you already have not. Are there any Geocachers out there?

Myself and a couple of fellow cachers are thinking of putting together a geocaching theme camp of sorts. If you aren't familiar with geocaching check out www.geocaching.com, it's kind of a treasure hunt using your GPS. anyways.... Basically we are forming the BRC Geocaching Society. My fellow camper...

I want to say it was '90 or '91, an old boyfriend of mine worked for the portable toilet company that catered, so I was able to ride with him out there. We were only out there for a couple of hours an...
