Re: Fundraiser: School Of Consensual Kink

An excellent question! A tasting is where people can get a taste of a BDSM activity, such as seeing what it's like to get a spanking, to be tied up, etc. It's a way to get a taste of kink in a safe, structured environment

Fundraiser: School Of Consensual Kink

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/expansion-of-black-rock-school-of-consensual-kink The Black Rock School Of Consensual Kink (Black Rock SOCK) is trying to raise funds so we can expand our classroom. We're a woman run camp that's strictly dedicated to BDSM education. Last year our classroom held ab...

Re: Still haven't gotten your tickets?

Tickets will continue to go out for the next few weeks? We paid for these months ago, so there shouldn't be any surprise or mystery how many orders there are to fulfill. Yes, I understand that it's a manual process that takes time, and my point is that Ticketfly has had lots of time already. These s...

Re: The Atomic Fireball Candy!

I love atomic fireballs! Some years I eat it upon arrival, some years I wait until I turn off the pavement. This year, assuming I get it in time, I plan to enjoy it on August 9th, which is the weekend I'll be doing my final prep, food purchasing, and staging.

Hey Jovankat,

Thank you for clarifying, I really appreciate it. My humblest apologies if my reply made it seem that I hadn't read your reply. I did, which is why I reached out to you. I've also messaged you off-list with a more extensive reply.

Re: Are you a voluptuous burlesque or belly dancer?

I've gotten a couple of replies, but when I ask for performance videos I get nothing but silence, so I'm putting this out there again. I'm also going to post this to the Spark site. I'm hosting an event called Voluptuous: A Celebration of Curves (http://playaevents.burningman.com/playa_event/10859/)...

Open to Old Time? I play mandolin, and my Playa instrument is a manjo (banjo headed mandolin), but I don't play much Bluegrass - mostly English and Old Time.

Want to host a spanking workshop?

Last year I taught a spanking workshop that was very well received (I've run into a few people in the intervening year who told me that it was one of the best workshops they'd been to). Unfortunately, I over scheduled myself last year and ended up flaking on a workshop, so I'm being a lot more caref...

There are A LOT of us out there. You can find me in Hushville under the "Pervy Burner" flag, or hanging out at Retrofrolic, Black Rock S.O.C.K., Suspended Animation, Black Rock Beacon, or goddesses only knows where else. :) I've been to all of the sober camps listed, and they're all great. http://ww...

Are you a voluptuous burlesque or belly dancer?

I'm hosting an event called "Voluptuous: A Celebration of Curves" on Wednesday afternoon, and I'd like to have a short (1 or 2 songs) performance by a big, hot, voluptuous, curvaceous belly dancer or burlesque dancer. Is that you? If so, please contact me at your earliest convenience. You can see th...

Sober Burner Patches

I've been working on a Sober Burner image. I've been thinking of having these made as patches or stickers, or I may just give the SVG file to someone else who's looking for something to bring as playa gifts.

Questions about sparkling wine

I don't drink, so I need some help and information from those more knowledgeable than me. I'm working on a plan for an event this year at which I'd like to serve Champagne (or something close enough, like Asti, Cava, Prosecco, etc.) and all I know about it is to never serve Andre, and that Dom and C...

Thanks to everyone for the fantastic advice! I will not be camping in the truck, as I love my camp setup exactly the way I have it. I generally leave the Playa at first light on Monday, and plan to take Tuesday off for cleaning and gear storage anyway, and cleaning the truck will be done Tuesday mor...

Re: First year renting a truck

This conversation has devolved a bit (on ePlaya? The deuce you say!). I'm looking for advice on guidance on companies worth renting from, costs, cleaning before return, other pitfalls I may not have thought about, etc. Whether I take 2 or 3 in the truck is much more of an afterthought. For example, ...

First year renting a truck

Given the vehicle pass situation, and given what a royal PITA it's become to tetris my dusty tiny car (Honda Fit) on Sunday, I've decided to rent a box truck this year and haul at least two people in one vehicle, and depending on how well we can pack, maybe three. I'll be renting and returning it in...

Re: Vehicle Passes and Burning Man Traffic Issues

I drive up in a Honda Fit that is packed at home with the assistance of my brilliant and talented wife, who is an astrophysicist by education and training, so it's tetrised pretty damned tightly. The problem is that I'm not NEARLY as smart as she, even less so by the end of the week, so it takes me ...

Android apps for on-playa?

I will be taking an Android phone without a SIM card (so WiFi only for connectivity) this year, mostly for taking pictures, the Time to Burn app, and if I can easily find convenient WiFi, to call my mom on her birthday with Skype. I will absolutely not be checking email, facebook, fetlife, etc. - th...

No hold on a minute there, Maladroit. The point of this thread isn't about "shopping", this about giving coffee oriented camps a chance to brag and boast. I bring everything I need with me, and plenty of extra to share. I even bring excellent coffee and ways to make it*, even though I generally don'...

I always think of Center Camp coffee for when one *needs* a cup. I drink it when I'm volunteering for Center Camp sound, but only because it's offered and convenient. I wouldn't say it's great coffee.
