Oh fuck, of course! That was that Irish guy in the little green suit.

The Dutch guy was around 7' tall.

Tall, really TALL, like 7" tall?
His name is Dennis. Great guy. I have no idea how to reach him for you, but he stopped by our camp at 8:50/Holy coming from Distrikt early in the week and chatted.
Best of luck.

Keep the dust off your head: Toddler Pants!

Keep the dust out of your hair with toddler pants! You can sew the ankles shut to stash lightweight stuff, or for a more elegant look, stuff the legs with batting so they stand bolt upright. Shown here in RuffleButt Pink, but they come in all colors. I just posted this to another thread, so moderato...

You can also stuff the legs so they stand straight up for a more decorative, less functional look.

Head coverings

I've been inspired by RobbieDobbs sunbonnets for years. Maybe this year I'll slap one together. My $20 cowboy hat is starting to rot. Speaking of headwear, nothing keeps the dust off your hair like toddler pants! If you sew the ankles shut you can stash lightweight stuff in the legs. Shown here in r...

Not Playa FASHION, let's call it STYLE

The local Goodwill outlet (where everything is 29¢/lb) always has lots of fabulosity, stuff too weird to sell in the normal Goodwill. At that price you can also afford to buy normal stuff and hack it; if you don't like it you're only out a dime. When I find something good and truly bizarre and it's ...

Letterboxing! Read this if you like treasure hunts

Any letterboxers coming to Burning Man? Letterboxing is an international treasure hunt, where you find hidden boxes with unique handcarved stamps in them that you stamp in your passport. There are tens of thousands of letterboxes hidden all over the US and the rest of the planet. My virgin year (200...

Re: Burning Man 2013 Tickets Info

The credit card name on the purchase must match the user name of the Burner Profile. If the ticket is to be shipped, then you are absolutely correct, the name on the order doesn't really matter once you have tickets in hand. Of course, they won't be in hand for 4-5 months, and if the tickets are so...

Re: Project: Say It With Feathers

The "project" was inspired by picking up a shitload of feathers in my moop bag. I didn't see that beautiful costume until I got home and looked at the RS story. It is a beautiful costume. I just don't want to lose our 2013 permit because of stuff like that. And it's not the the DPW's job to clean up...

Curlers!
Wash hair.
Roll up tight in foam curlers.
Cover with chiffon scarf.
Wear for 2 or 3 days.
Enjoy your clean hair with fab curls for one day.
Repeat.
