Re: Temple Burn -- one hour of silence and reverence possibl

We were sitting around there. For the most part, the vast majority of people were quiet but the jackasses on that scissor lift kept on screaming "Yeah bitch!" every five minutes. If you're gonna heckle, at least be creative and witty or something. "Yeah Bitch!" is from the Kiwi's, many of who built...

Re: Cost of Decomposed Gravel (GD) , for burn scar shield?

The Org charged The Temple of Transition 2011 $3000 for DG.

And it was recycled.
The DG from the CORE and Man burns were moved to the Temple.

Good Luck on your grant proposal, Sticky.
I am curious to hear more about your project.

A few administrative changes is not enough to talk me out of attending. The old system did not allow us know what we would pay. It would kick you out of queue and you would now be 15,000th in line. Tickets didn't sell out until July last year, and most of those who are working to bring BM some inter...

Re: BASSHENGE Wants You In 2012

I just read this thread and have to say that I am disappointed that BassHenge yielded. That is the great thing about kickstarter - if the populace doesn't like it, it won't get funded. Some may believe the awards were going too far and that is their opinion - one doesn't have to support the project....

Re: Smackdown! GPE v. Greeters

The Black Hole sported one of the Greeter Bells full of bullet holes, as a lamp shade. The first go around at the range we were able to write our names and calibers around the holes. But after the second and third go around, there was no place to write as it was so shredded. Punishment was working a...

Re: CORE - Circle of Regional Effigies - 2012??

One of my favorite memories in 2011 was Thursday night's CORE burn.
I got a ride on the 120' lift up over the burns and sit on the couch with one of my favorite friends, admiring the bird's eye view.
Truly magnificent.
Worth losing one of my best Surefire flashlights in the couch somewhere.

Re: Cooling Vests

There is a huge interest in cooling vests for the law enforcement industry.
They wear lots of gear and armor with their uniforms.
I have seen some of these in circulation (sloppy seconds from Fishy's pun thread).
It seems as though it is not quite perfected.

The foe feature has some problems.
You can plonk members so that you cannot see their posts, but they can still send you pm's.
There seems no way to completely block someone, at least with the system before this.

Has this new system changed that?

Risky, have to try that! Is the grill covered to melt the toppings? (Grill-top temps near coals are quite high) I have a folding bbq. So yes, I close the top to keep the heat in to melt the cheese. Google search has many results. Here's one: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/pizza-on-the-grill-i/detail....

certainly, I could see, since "the stamp" seems to have disappeared, folks posting boobies, or whatever parts, sans official stamp. I could see a "clearing house" for anonymity, if necessary.......or, the poster, (whomever it may be) could be posting for another "friend", to shy to post themselves....

For BM, most major injuries are best handled by ESD. Tourniquets, QuikClots and IV's should only be used by those educated, or you can actually cause more harm. Most injuries are going to be cuts, abrasions and burns. Stopping the bleeding and applying pressure will be the most common actions needed...
