Re: EZ Up Canopies

I like your avatar. Last year was a light wind year, and yea, you have to guy them down no matter, two lines on each corner. But as they collapse and have those accordian joints and a wind load with the little side walls let alone the top, they will break unless you are there to remove the canopy wh...

How long is the rebar?

I am trying to remember and its not coming back to me, but it seems you pound your rebar in a certain distance and after that you need the jack and chain to pull it out. I want to cut and bend the rebar now for the art project and am thinking you go in about 10 inches and then hit the point of usele...

bring a pump so when soft you let air out and when you go hard u pump it up. Follow the paths of motorized vehicles and let them compress it for you.

Re: Looking for tips on in car AC

you will not need the a/c at night, your van conversion will be cool then, no problem. I use the the a/c when parked when microwaving and maybe then eating whatever it is. I find the sound of generators a source of annoyance to me and everyone around it, unless you invite them all in as well, beside...

Re: Best direction to park RV for lowest peak temps

Wind and Sun are my personal issues as I prefer to shelter myself from both ( given I like afternoon shade), but the sun goes east to west and the wind comes from the south or sometimes from the north. And, yes I am easily confused as to how to line the moho up.

Re: Keeping the RV dust-free (well, as dust-free as possible

I have found that leaving blue tape on the moho for a week peels off the paint. I just close off all the windows and try and shut the door during day even when getting another beer. By evening its cooling off enough to go in, hit the gen and jack the air and to get the micro up. I would rather hang ...

Re: Top Asshats of 2011 Burning Man

Anyone using their generator to try and keep an rv cool in the heat of the day, empty bottles in the heads, and the dick who left the beer can in the evap pond. Considering it all..not too bad. One instance where I tripped out was when I overheard a couple arguing and yelling and then saw that she w...

Thanks for the beer last time. I remember it was early and I rolled up to your bar and asked for a beer and you guys looked at me as if I was insane so you fronted me one. I left and this incredibly big moho is like looking for a place to camp on the promenade- someone grabbed the mike and was givin...

The Temple vibe is not where I would do it either. If its day you could probably get into a dome. Ask BMR to plug it on air, but their directions would be two doors down unless you improve on this

Check out the 80-90 shade cloth stuff at the local garden center? I suppose the width is too small, but you could stitch it with a sewing machine with nylon thread, duck tape, and torch it. Take 50# fishing line and hand stitch it.
sew it stitch it tape it torch it

Yea, deep cycle for sure. I do take an RV, and typically close it up to keep the alkali factor (playa dust) mitigated, and hang out in the shade of it in the afternoon. Like your idea though.

Strap it on your rear bumper so you take out the guy behind you. Seriously I would at least get an empty one and fill it in Reno or any city outside of the desert.
