Re: cooling your tent or van

A wall wart that changes 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC and provides at least 3 amps.
About $6 at best buy.

Re: Power cords

It's all glued. I just drop a couple of feet and wiggle it. It drops in a coil on the ground. I know about the figure 8 thing and the weave, but for saving space this is the shit. I've been using this for years with my yackhammer, but someone mentioned melting the cord. I guess people don't check th...

Re: Decommodification Starts With You

The big issue was that somehow the 10 principles were my idea and how dare I tell people what to do and not do on the playa.

I thought we agree to the principles went we buy our ticket.

Silly me.

Re: cooling your tent or van

Turn the fan on then lift the lid.

If you can detect a change in fan speed, make your intake holes bigger till the fan can breathe freely.

Re: cooling your tent or van

The basics are perfect.

It's a "unicooler" without the box.

It would work even better if air couldn't get around the edge of the pad.

If he had left the pad full size and tucked the excess in around the fan, it would help a little.

Re: cooling your tent or van

If you have a shelf in front of a window you can set this in the window and cool most of an RV.

Scroll down on this page.

Needs a bigger box for a big enough intake so the fan can breath freely.

Re: cooling your tent or van

The super hot outside air is what makes the cooler work so well.

If it sets inside it will just keep building up the humidity till it feels like Florida.

Even with the cooler I made for the playapod, I still brought the bucket for sitting in the shade on hot afternoons and offering passersby a cool down.

The connector is actually ABS.

All Home depots have them.

I think a toilet flange will also work.
