Re: Renting a large generator for a village?

John, I suggest you get a price schedule. It is OK to say inexpensive, but that is really a relative statement. Find out the prices based on several units and lets see if we can get some people on board. We also need to do this off of this forum.

Re: Renting a large generator for a village?

By pro-active I mean the first step is to talk with the camp people first. They may not have thought it out all the way. They perhaps just thought that the generator being on the street edge would be ok, not thinking about all of us on the other side. Then, if that did not work, we would have to ha...

Re: Renting a large generator for a village?

That happens because you are using spider boxes. They are not made for long runs. We run cable well over 400' to run the RV's at the camp on the back side of us. No power loss at all. Spider boxes are designed more for construction sites. Not everyone is using all their power tools at the same time....

Re: Renting a large generator for a village?

John is spot on in his reply. I must again suggest that you do NOT use biodiesel. I maintain a fleet of generators that our camp and several other camps use. Without exception, the Bio has caused problems on our units. Nothing in the way of permanent damage, but the last thing I wish to do is field ...

Re: My Art Car got an invitation, now all's I need's a Ticke

I actually heard complaints from 2011 that there were no DMV lines and the MV operators weren't there long enough to chat with their friends and also people did not get to see the MV's in a big group as in previous years. You just can't please everyone.....The comments from the MV artists were prett...

Re: My Art Car got an invitation, now all's I need's a Ticke

It's just you. Well sort of. In the not so distant past there were problems, long lines, too many steps in the paper trail etc. Not to mention the fact that the Hotties have to make tough decisions about what vehicles get an invite based on the Mutant guidelines. The lines actually move quickly, the...

Re: My Art Car got an invitation, now all's I need's a Ticke

If your name is on the invite, then you must be the person to bring the Mutant Vehicle. By filling out the application you are taking responsibility for the vehicle. The DMV will not allow someone else to take your place.

Somebody or a couple of somebodys need to be in charge. If any one of the three principals want someone gone, for any reason, they are gone. Everyo...

While you may hope they have a terrible time, CORE has 35 projects set to burn on Thursday night. The number of Honorarium Art Projects is overwhelming in their scope and size. There are a lot of huge and wonderful projects that have are being funded at this moment. There will be a lot of art this t...

Actually if you are making changes to your Flame Effects send those changes to the address below. This will bypass the DMV and go directly to FAST. The changes can be made with little or no effort.

The processing sessions have not started yet, but I expect them to in the next week or so. I have started processing the Flame Effects part of the DMV. I would give it at least another couple of weeks before you will hear anything.

I should know for certain in a little while. Having known Will for many years, this does not seem like his writing. BUT, that being said, it wouldn't be the first time I was totally wrong about something.

OK, I will give you that this is a very small cross section. Now, when was the last time you saw someone who really has this information post hard numbers and dates. IE: half of the first step requests have been filled AND they will announce the next STEP sign up next week, AND practically guarantee...

Re: what time did you receive your STEP confirmation email?

It does not seem reasonable that with a front load of 200 tickets, 800 more have come in through STEP in the last week or so. There has not been that much activity on this thread. If there were 1000 tickets distributed so far, it would seem that fact would be obvious.

Re: Flame Effects 101 for beginners?

There is no need for a relief valve in the lines between the valves. The drawing indicates the lines are SCH 80 and the system is gas. The lines are simply part of the pressure vessel. If gas were trapped in between the valve, it is not going to exceed the working pressure of SCH 80. If the system w...

It appears that it sold for the Buy it Now price of $10K. The opening bid price was $8K. If the listing was removed for other reasons, Ebay will disclose that.

I agree, it could have been night only.

Scalping or Decepective Marketing

Here is a link to an Ebay ad. Is this scalping or deceptive marketing? I ask because the seller states the vehicle has been registered with the Dept of Mutant Vehicles. Maybe it was in the past, it certainly hasn't been approved this year because the approval process has not started yet. I don't eve...

I actually know someone who sold two tickets from a dead person last year. The owner of an estate sale company was cleaning out the home of a person who had passed away. There were no relatives so the county took control of the property. She found the tickets on the refridgerator door and knowing th...

Re: NEW Sound Policy for Mutant Vehicles

The DMV is well aware of the situation with the MV that broke through the perimeter of the Trojan Horse. It made a deliberate attempt to hit one of my perimeter people. This was one of many abuses from that vehicle during the week. I was loading pyro in the head of the Horse when I heard all the noi...

Re: 2012 Theme Camps - will you make it this year?

The real DMV information will only be visible after the Event. It costs nothing to register a Mutant Vehicle so even if you don't have a ticket, YET, I am guessing most people will submit their DMV applications as they are time sensitive. There is always a small percentage of MV's that do not show u...
