Welcome, just wait till the day you actually leave for the playa it's enough to give a guy the "bubble guts." My first burn it finally dawned on me what I was getting myself into when somewhere above sacramento on I-80 some dude in a plain assed moving truck stared over at me, struck his lighter and...

I wished I'd have known that motorized go-peds were not worth two shits on the playa, way too ez to wipe out and worthless at night when you can't see the powder drifts. Bring a bike, fatter the tires the better! Oh yeah and bacon and grilled cheese are just about all you need to survive, foo...

Welcome, SirFixalot! Honestly, I say this with all due respect - fuck your friends. They did not pull their shit together to survive in a desert wasteland for a week. They did not buy a ticket that includes a you-may-well-die legal disclaimer on it. They did not read and research for hours on the f...

I'm no expert on EL wire but don't you need special terminals/ends to splice to the ends of that stuff???Different lengths and thickness determines the voltage you will need to use, I would guess a couple of sets of household batteries should get you by for most of the week depending on how many hou...

7 gallon containers and the suitcases like Kman posted is what I've had the best of luck with. The large blue cube Reliance water containers have given me trouble and are a pain to store so I got rid of those. The container above is pretty tough and I've used them as tie down points to secure a ten...

Read the first timer's guide (it's a must), getting the jist of "it" from a friend doesn't always paint the "whole" picture. Then re-evaluate whether you still wanna go of not. Someone once said "burnin' ain't easy" and that's the straight up truth!!

Why don't you just come out to the playa and find out who's gonna be playin'??? Don't base your decision of whether you'll be attending or not on who's going to be spinning records. If that's what you're after head down to the desert east of L.A. there are plenty of raves in that neck of the woods.

I've got one BM sticker (last years, small) on the back of my trailer other than that it looks like I borrowed it from my grandpa and the truck looks just like any other. Besides the weird bikes and the bed overflowing with shit, I'm just another dude going camping for the holiday.
