Not exactly a positive experience, but definitely felt appreciative on the night of the burn. We were close to the man, around 12-ish, seated on the ground, watching the pre-burn fire extravaganza when I heard someone yell "Stop that man!" ... seconds later some dude rushed over us, dropped some so...

I wanted to bring this around to a more upbeat angle. Don't be a victim of other's actions, including LEO's. Own your experience. There is a business struggle going on between the ORG and LEO. LEO's like state agencies everywhere are desperate for money, their employees make good money with good be...

my camp really kept a hand on the moop in and around our area.. and on Monday after we had everything packed we did a massive MOOP-search. I was also surprised to find super soft 2 and 3 ply in the potties on Sat, Sun and Mon. I would switch 'em out with my one ply and then reward my nose with a go...

Re: I totally Agree!!!!

I was really surprised as well at the number of people that didn't do anything to participate. I saw so many gray outfits, meaning, shorts, pants, gray tops and camelbacks that I was actually surprised of the number of people not actually trying at least a little to participate. Just my opinion. Co...

I'm absolutely sure I am part of the problem. The rant is that Burning Man this year felt a bit too much like a stuffy museum. And I love me some stuffy museums, but I also love a bit of madness. This year felt quiet, reserved, a little paranoid even. I am absolutely sure I was one of those people ...

Orange construction fence that surround the city (a ways out.) Designates the limits of the event. I guess it collects pieces of trash in heavy winds and tends to hold them there, hence the name. When they say "Party with 19-year old, nymphomaniac gogo dancers at the trash fence" what they mean is ...

Going out to the trash fence late at night is one of the best things to do on an MV, but be sober and have your ticket. You SHOULD be allowed to be anywhere inside the trash fence, but I've had the cops order me and other MVs away from it, thinking that people are being smuggled in. I've also been ...

Are you planning just for yourself or for multiple people?

Have you considered MRE's? (Although I don't know if and where you would get them in Reno so close to the burn)

This discussion of bar hopping confuses me. Are there camps that are specifically bars? Or are we talking about camps/theme camps that also happen to have a bar? And I thought there was supposed to be some kind of openness? If someone comes into your camp you should offer them a drink? I don't under...

If you are self-employed, have a work truck, and buy more than $600 worth of gas at the local gas station for it, you will have to send a 1099 to the gas station (and a copy to the IRS).
