Surley Bird is always great. My buddy pilots the bird every year and has to drive it out there from Reno with no windshield. This year he got lots of rain on the way out.

Favorite MV's this year?

I gotta take my hat off to that huge dinosaur with the pink LEDs this year. It was truely mind blowing. Anyone know the name/crew of it?

What were yours?

Mine worked great. I mainly used it just sitting in the dome with it pointed straight at my face. Next year, I'm definitely going bigger/stronger. Thanks FIGJAM for the cool air this year.

This was my 8th consecutive burn and I still get what I call "Post Burning Man Depression Syndrome" every year. Start working on something to bring out next year. The theme is up, start brainstorming and make it happen!

I don't know what exodus OP participated in, but mine on Monday evening was the definition of "pulsing." It was a nice change from the years past. Got to get out and walk around before leaving for another year.

I think the biggest asshole this year was the entire Clown art car. But it was very entertaining. They drove all around talking shit to everyone probobly trying to fuck up the trips of everyone on acid. I sat from a distance and laughed the whole time.

Re: Drive safe to Burning Man

I know everyone wants to get to the playa as soon as possible but keep safety in mind. It doesn't matter if you drive fast or slow, you WILL have to wait in line. It doesn't make sense to drive fast and endanger yourself and others only to have to wait in line at the gate. Keep in mind that the aut...

If what Crypto said is true... Not entirely true. We had absolutely no pre-registration last year and we got BOTH of the MVs registered. Totally not recommended, but there is a slight chance it can be done. Enough of a chance to risk it? Nope. Were these registered as MVs? Or with disability permit...

5/16ths is pretty common. A box of 100 will be just fine, but more is always safer.

Have you contacted the dmv? If not able to, try to get a state handicap permit. Take it, or whatever paperwork you have to the dmv on the playa, and see what you can do. We had to do this last year. They made us put the MV in D-Lot upon arrival then deal with the DMV once in the gate. It was a huuu...

Re: Aaagh! Good news / Bad News for a newb coming to the Pla

So, due to professional issues it looks like I'm going to have to fly out to Reno rather than drive to the Playa with my friends. The good news is my boss is going to foot the bill for the flight. The bad news, of course, is I need to figure out how impossible it is to get a lift this late into the...

No. Just 2 small terminals. I'm running my swamp cooler + a 50 ft string of LED modules off of mine. Works great. And I'm assuming your swamp cooler's electric is 12vdc?
