Re: Burning Man Education For Newbies

Personally I went through a couple of packs of ester-c/emergen-c/whatever a day with my water, as well as eating jerky. Worked like a charm for me.

Re: MOOP Map Live 2013

Yep. Looks like we're off the hook. =p We were at 5:00 and Interstellar, (lower left corner of the intersection, as the map sits) and our spot is green. There's a yellow rectangle to our left, toward 5:15, where they had a pretty big fire at least one windy night. What an amazing crew they are, who ...

Re: The Best Thing About Eplaya!

In my experience, being on the Playa does not require a thick skin against snark. Just ePlaya.
VultureChow wrote:I think the snark is the best thing.

The info is important, but eplaya (if you are doing it right) helps you develop a slightly thicker skin than many people think necessary for the playa.

You know there's a regional Burn in Australia called Burning Seed. Maybe you should look into it.

Having sampled your mechanical talent, I feel you should set aside a portion of those gifted bicycles and use them to build some sort of final-scene-of-Aliens-style exoskeleton.  I hope you both enjoy the tandem. (See PM about it.) I don't have an accurate bicycle count, but I just took a...

Re: Where can I find more music like THIS?

That music sounds like every other EDM beat you'll hear anywhere on the playa. There's not even a melody anyone could identify. What really caught my attention was that dude holding that laser and moving it to the beat... If that beam were to hit your eye you'd be blinded, and not just flash blinde...

Guy's got a bad attitude, yeah. But its still an amazing resource nonetheless. I mostly just disregard his commentary. This explains everything: http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/ That thing is pretty good, but has too much of the authors (often bad) attitude strung through it. When people as...

So. Burning Man is, among other things, a transformative festival. Transformation often goes hand in hand with goal setting. I'm curious what goals people are setting as a result of their experiences at this year's Burn? Here's a goal of mine to get things started (though frankly my head's still a m...

Amazingly, Canadian customs didn't make me empty out my shit for inspection this year. Guess he just didn't wanna deal with it. Ottawa taxi drivers are ...
