No persol offense intended, but I am curious: I don't quite see the congruency of My brother is a great DJ, very talented and inspired. He works hard and long on his music and in coming out there with his decks and records, he would be more than giving that to the community. That would be his gift. ...

I've been following this thread and several others a la "The Decline of BM" fithfully since they appeared. I have a lot of mixed feelings on these subjects and thoughts in my head, perhaps not points or solutions or anything worthwhile but just stuff that I think about and want to bounce around. I w...

We had the same thing at the LA Decom I spent almost 20 minutes at LA Decom (tm) looking for a trash can. I found one cardboard box marked recycle. I never found a trash can. It'd be nice, but i don't really expect everyone in the city to pack out their trash. I suggest an improvement for the futur...

They don't need to necessarily have housed coffee products. #10 cans and the like are also acceptible--as long as they have those plastic lids. The lids are vital to the project. Most tin cans have tin lids, not the snap-on plastic ones. The most common form of this I see is for coffee, hence, "coff...

It's good.

Never, ever, tell me to never do something. When you get to the last post in a thread at 3playa it resets back to zero It quite simply does not. It does not reset back to zero posts in that thread. that would mean all the posts disappeared; quite clearly they do not, as there would be no archive. An...

When you get to the last post in a thread at 3playa it resets back to zero. It sure doesn't for me, and I run POS Micro$oft IE 6.0, so if it works on that, it should damn well work on anything. Unless there's a user error, of course. But I'm sure that's not the case. Perhaps we'll talk later when y...

Glad I could help. I remember that camp becuase I really wanted to get my picture taken. A friend of mine suggested we go together and I really wanted to say "Yes," but instead, I said "maybe." I figured there was always more time and we could get back to it. I've been regretting that ever since.

Have you tried looking at the map of center camp and figuring out which camp it is, then looking it up on the themecamp webpage? If I recall correctly he was at about 10:00 center camp. I believe where it was listed on the webite, it said "ID required." Not "photo ID required." You can find Bob's cite and link if you go back though this thread. Wanted: Coffee cans

Hi all, I am collecting coffee cans for part of a project I am doing for Burning Man 2005. I am specifically looking for 1- and 3-lbs metal coffee cans *with lids.* I will be present and able to collect cans at SF, LA and OC/SD decompression (tm) events. I would be quite grateful if you had any to b...

How's this for an idea, somebody should just hand write the street names onto the wood polls that signs are on. DWP could do it when the put the permanent signs up. It's a simple solution.
If it's so simple, why does DPW have to do it?
