"A Path With A Heart" -Jack Kornfield Great book. As is his newer one, "The Wise Heart". I absolutely love him. I saw him speak in NYC last year, and I just did a silent meditation & yoga retreat @ Spirit Rock. He embodies the heart chakra more than any human being I've ever met. 2 snippets from so...

My grandma passed away last month. She was one of the most kind souls I ever knew. She was in a lot of physical pain, and I'm glad she's finally free from the suffering of her body. But she will certainly be missed here on Earth. <3

Whatever happened to everyone's entitled to their own opinion? Agree to disagree? just saying... Simon decided that eplaya is HIS playground, and he will constantly harass anyone that he doesn't wanna play with. It's sad, but mildly amusing at the same time. I wish him only the best. He obviously h...

Re: What is Burning Man?

i'd be a fool to try to answer that, but i know that to say something is NOT burning man is Not Burning Man, Man. Just so you know, the title of that thread, "What Isn't Burning Man?", was quoted directly from the Burning Man website - http://www.burningman.com/ (about halfway down the page on the ...

I loved Root Society, save for a few DJs. I had a blast there. I mentioned them because they were the biggest EDM mega-stage last time around, and they won't be there this year. I'm wondering if the mega-rave trend will continue, or if it possibly peaked & will be on the decline. But Simon needs to ...

Huh? I have no affiliations with Hookahdome at all. I just liked the EDM there more than at most stages. I didn't even stop there this past year b/c they were kind of out of the way.

Nice try though.

I am also thoroughly impressed by how long you've been 'burning'! You da man now, dawg! 8)

Rather than having them killed, couldn't they just be Skilled????..... Hookahdome has some good ones! I loved the music there. Lots of spicy, Eastern influenced, electronic goodness. Rather than the stages with a dozen DJs who all want to be the next Bassnectar. :P (I do like Bassnectar BTW. But wh...

I expect that this year, like the last, will break attendance records. How many of these new people are of the 'raver' & sparklepony demographics? My guess is a lot, though we'll have to wait until the census/afterburn report to better analyze this hypothesis. Every 'scene' suffers from these waves ...

What Isn't Burning Man?

(from the main page on the website) " Burning Man isn't the kind of festival that most people are used to, with big stages and acts booked to play on a set schedule. Rather, it's an entirely participant-driven event, and therein lies the novelty." Is this really still the case? With all the huge EDM...

Are we to believe Bin Laden lied when he said he was responsible for master minding, financing and ordering the attacks that occurred on 9/11? Well, first of all, is it that much of a stretch to think that he lied? lol He also denied it right after - http://articles.cnn.com/2001-09-16/us/inv.binlad...

Seriously dude... look at your life. You have almost 10,000 posts on here. You spend all that time crying out for attention, but is it worth it? Does it bring you the peace that you're really looking for?

Give it a rest for a bit. Your higher self will appreciate it.

I've been seeing too much of the negative influences of Burning Man on folks lately.
