Hey FoxFur, you need a bottle opener on those shoulder pads, and maybe a little copper tubing coming over the top. That is an awsome set up, I love it!

Been out of town for a while, so haven't been shopping, per say. But I did aquire more camo netting, and more rebar, and an old spool for a table.

Hahaha!! Sounds like me!! I didn't get in any trouble either!! In fact,
I must be in a rut, I haven't been in any trouble for at least 2 weeks!!

My good point is, even though my bike got stolen, I have received 4 more to rebuild into 3 good ones!! Yeah!!

Yeah, I don't quite get that, since "He's a dick," doesn't ever get the same horrified reaction as "She's a cunt." Maybe it's an onomatopoetic effect, I don't know. But it puzzles me. I kind of like the word, myself; it has a strong, deep, sturdy sound (Proto-Germanic?), rather Shakespearian, I thi...

My theory has always been, "If someone built it, I can take it apart and rebuild it" . MY dad named me Tinker, because I am ADD and do lots, all the time. So now I have two boys who do the same. Hence the mom part.

I know of two very experienced burners that passed out last time, due to heat and water issues. They thought they were okay. I wouldn't be surprised if you all scrape up my boys some wheres out there. They are at the age of "Don't tell me I know what I'm doin" I have a sharpie to write our address ...

[quote="Elorrum"]TinkerMom, do you use a hammer to bang on the top of that device, or are the side pieces like handles, and the whole thing is like a ram? I am going to make a hammer helper/guide with just the top two pieces of your original photo. The side pieces are like handles, and then just ram...

My rebar pounder, I built for six bucks. That's an interesting way to build a pounder without welding, but I would definitely test it before dragging it to the Playa. It seems to me that all the internal pipe edges and stuff could snag the rebar on the downstroke, and that could actually be dangero...

Ygmir: I heated the edge to melt it down and then put duct tape on it.
I also built a cool rebar pounder out of some steel pipe. But I don't
know how to post pictures. :(

I saw something about a white board on here one time. I have one on the ready.
I only gave them a couple rules; stay with me to set up and take down camp, and dinner is at 3 fingers! Otherwise, becareful, don't be an ass, and C ya!
When is the meet and greet? I can't wait!!

When my son was 5 he saw it on TV. I came home from work and he was jumping up and down on the couch, telling me we HAD to go to this amazing thing. "Amazing thing" from a 5 yr old. Ha! So I started looking into it. And was transfixed from then. But, being a single mom, not all plans come thru. My f...

I know that my foster is excited to help with putting up camp. And has even pitched in some money. My other son, may end up watching TV alone at home if he doesn't get on the band wagon. No more lurking!!

After lurking for a very long time, I decided to finally jump in!! I am a virgin burner from Flagstaff, AZ. I am bringing my 2 sons (both 18) for their first burn as well. Because of unforseen problems, I have been trying to go to BM for about 13 yrs. I have read all the stuff I need to read, and th...
