Re: Sky Pig Pirates

They were a relatively small camp with a rectangular shade cloth structure at 7&K. When I googled them, and archived eplaya post showed up but the username (mcalehuff) doesn't seem to be active any longer. I think they were california burners. Nothing important at stake, we just had some fun banter ...

Sky Pig Pirates

Was camped right across the street from these guys and would love to get in touch with someone from their camp if anyone knows them or is part of their group.

Especially if anyone knows that Keith character. I have a message for Keith.

I went through an entire case of caulk on my camper. I'm not even sure if I can still get in there myself! What nobody made a cock joke on this? Plugged up all the glory holes with caulk huh? Stuffed some caulk in all the leaky orifices? Just sprayed caulk everywhere and hoped for the best. There, ...

Re: How best to keep bugs from breeding in our fresh water?

Is it a concern regarding bugs breeding in the freshwater supply (as opposed to grey/black water)? Considering the amount of fresh water my camp is hauling in to ensure we'll survive from early entry to exodus, I don't want critters climbing in the vents of my RV's freshwater tank (or any of our ot...

Re: How is it that only presale tickets seem to be available

It's because the ticket people are stupid as fuck. They made it so getting a presale ticket doesn't omit you from the other sales.. so people buy a presale ticket, then try every way they can to get another ticket.. and when they do, they sale the pre-sale ticket. It's set up to help rich people ha...

Re: How is it that only presale tickets seem to be available

I'm sure many people bought a pre-sale with intentions of trying to buy a regular priced ticket later. If they succeeded, sell the $800 dollar ticket. If they failed, well they are still going to Burning Man, just the ticket expense is twice as much. It will be interesting to see how this works nex...

I think we're back to subjective. Used bathwater, saliva and food washings are still pretty gross, even if it smells like fresh flowers. I sure wouldn't keep it next to my bar.

It's highly unlikely that Dick can competently filter grey water to the point that sprinkling it on the playa is actually No-Trace . Some real subjective handwaving we got here. According to BMORG's publication, cheese cloth and bleach are all you need to satisfy the blm, but I take your point. Eve...

I think that if something is SO easy to use incorrectly that 90% of people don't do it right, then maybe it's still a flawed design. Also if you size, build and use it correctly but then literally any blundering idiot can step in it, fall down, make a stinky mooping leaky mess... it could be a flaw...

If you're going to go as far as adding bleach, there's a compelling argument to be made for filtering and sprinkling your grey water instead of using an evap pond.
