Made few more non moop feathers (they are leather) for camp decor.

Pics show a quick test dye but I plan to make these more colorful.

Might want to try a Freecyle wanted for the coupons. It varies by region but around here there are times when coupons are the hottest thing happening on there.

I have both of those coleman propane stoves and I much prefer the 2 burner suitcase as it has wind shields built in and is more stable. My camping favorite though is a small tabletop propane grill similar to the Weber® Gas Go-Anywhere (mine was a cheap knockoff that lasted 15 through years of campi...

A rubber O ring might be a suitable way to attach these to a lanyard. They are available in a lot of sizes at most hardware stores, stretchy enough to force over the neck of the bottle, but the small sizes are not easily stretched enough to be pulled off too easily.

Try to pick up glovers needles - they will go through 2 layers of most garment weight leather with ease. The only glue I use for permanent bond on leather is Barge contact cement (popular with shoemakers too), but it is 100% unforgiving as to positioning - you get only 1 shot at it. It does reduce t...

LOR - it does seem to have been lost (not on me) as was the sarcastic portion of my reply (I wouldn't truly suggest that anyone not camp between center and fence between 10 and 2 lol).

And to clear the air - I'm a bit baffled at how serious some of this good natured banter was taken.

Thanks Eliot, after lurking for a while I realize there is plenty of snark (or worse) on the boards here and I took it in the spirit it was given - as in turn I hope my reply as to camping location will be taken in turn.

I love that avatar Jk.

And while there may be many who like it, I am looking to spend the week as carefree as possible. Thinking about keeping my PBR cold (or at least not too warm) seems like a far better thing than thinking about excessive moop or fire hazards.

Hmmm, glad I asked because I need to rethink this now. I really would prefer not to have to worry about crap like this while there. Although I've never seen an incense stick ash stay lit for more than a fraction of a second, I would not want to chance ruining anyones burn (including mine) if it did....

Thanks, I was planning to include our camp logo and now will include the year as well. These were planned as special, personal gifts. As for less personal gifting, our camp is planning to bring a large sculpted incense burner thingy and 10,000 incense sticks. Visitors would be encouraged to light on...

Gifting Question

Being a leather carver, for my first burn I was planning to make some leather necklaces or possibly key fobs if I can source enough carabiners within my rapidly dwindling budget (useful even for those who don't appreciate the art portion). Since I don't want to commit any Faux Pas (sp?), I was wonde...

I am still fairly new to poi, and although I'm no expert here are some insights: Heavier poi can be spun slowly more easily. They are easier to practice new moves with but hurt way more when you nail yourself in the nads. I use a heavy set of sock poi for some practice (with a scale these can be mad...

Thanks for the welcome. I've been lurking on the boards for months but decided maybe now would be a good time to start shedding my shell. To Sic Pup - we will be 2 drivers, maybe 3 depending on my son's school / work schedule - he may need to fly and meet us. We have several stops planned along the ...

Noob From NY

Hi all, After 10 years of longing to go home - the kids are grown, the PTA, scouting, little league, and other massive time sinks are behind me, and 2011 will be my first burn. We are bringing a small unregistered theme camp (2700 miles is a long way to transport lots of stuff) consisting of myself,...

[quote="Trishntek"]While working on some projects today, I realized my various snaps, rivets and eyelets for leather craft are in Altoids tins.
