Slap your tent around a little bit before entering or exiting, too. A can of compressed air helps blow the dust out of the mechanism and that helps a bit, as well.

That link goes to the tribe home page for some reason. This one takes you to the tribe, I think.

We can organize topics and stuff on tribe...Not a big triber, mind you. Just pragmatic. Shall we call it ? - h...

Somni, I'm awful sorry to hear about your dog...It's a hard thing to have to deal with, and no question...I'm losing a family member this week myself, I think, but it's a different story all together. It'll be a good thing to be able to pat you on the back when we meet. Bring pics, maybe, and a coll...

Wow! Welcome to everybody! I can't believe how many people we've got now. Thanks everyone for the introductions. I think we're good with the original camp design, even with all the newcomers. If we need to expand, we'll do it in the tent area. We're going to have to keep car space in mind, too. Does...

I'd like to welcome everyone, but it needs to be within reason. I want to make sure beforehand that we can all get along. I don't think I'm being exclusive in any way, just judicious for everyone's benefit... I'd prefer for everyone to know ahead of time, for instance, that maybe someone's trip is a...

Tiki torches I knew about...I know I've seen people cooking on bbq's in good sized grills and those involve open flames, obviously. Maybe if it were grated and had a spark arrestor? It's a contained fire...Oh well. It's one less thing to cart around, though, and you won't have to bring all the wood,...

There are no bikes at Burning Man in 2007. This year, everyone is going to be hovering about on a bloated sense of self satisfaction. This could result in a very dangerous atmospheric condition known as 'Smug.' Seriously, bikes in Reno....look for Black Rock Bicycles. Otherwise, show up in town and ...

Seriously, Somni, don't worry about the 16 x 20. It's crazy to bring a trailer just for a shade structure. There are so many campers now that there should be virtually unlimited shade. The chimonea is one of those outdoor fireplaces, right? That would be the greatest. E_S, it's official. Welcome to ...

Mini to XLR is a pretty tough one to find. Or at least it has been for me. Do try to avoid step-downs with too many connections, also, because naturally you lose signal at every connector. I'd guess mini to 1/4" is your best bet, and they're around. I use them all the time to plug my ipod into my mi...

Re: I'm back...

I've been sick guys and just not up to this but now I'm on the mend. I ran across a group coming from LA with a 26 ft RV, who need a camp but not arriving until Tuesday. Can you plot them into the camp map? Has the earliest arriver been id'd? If you're vouching for them as cool, campworthy people, ...

Not a playa dream, but a nightmare nonetheless. I dreamed I was eating something beefy, ground beef in some form or another. I took a bite and to my great dismay, there was a cat turd in it and I controlled the urge to puke all the way to the sink and then spat it all out. I woke up immediately afte...

The only reason I think a corner would be cool is that it would make Motsky's welding service a little more accessible. You're right, though...if we're in-block, we'd probably be able to back build a little more easily.
