Become a raver, bub. Then you'll see life is one big event.

Don't become a promoter, though. That'll just make you cynical. Trust me.

Actually the sad thing is that if the Burningman article wasn't in the paper, I wouldn't have bought it. I am a shameless corporate whore. :(
And you're shamelessly advertising Poop Juice. You should be ashamed.

But, ah...as I said...it's a shameless advertisement.

We would really appreciate any help you can get us. We've enlisted the help of a very wonderful paralegal and if you can get us free legal advice, too...That would be that much more help...We've used a good deal of what we've learned already and I think that Harmony's dad may now be realizing his we...

Burning Man in the Sacramento Bee?!!?! The outrage!!! They're using BM to sell papers! I hope they called BMORG before they wrote the article...

I'll be sure to pick up a USA Today on the way to the playa. And a Chronicle. And an LA Times...

I've never gotten to ride a mechanical bull and I've wanted to ever since I was like...man....like 4 or 5 or something and saw "Stir Crazy" (it's sort of a jail flick with Richard Pryor and Gene...um...Wilder) and Richard Pryor rides a mechanical bull....Anyway, I've wanted to for years. ...

I don't think that Rachel was trying to sell anything. Is it really that cool to take something free (in spirit) and great like Burning Man and be so elitist about it? I've seen on a number of posts people have said "Hey, I found this at (insert store here). Go there and get it." Rarely do they get ...

So you'll be camped in the vicinity of Hushville I assume. Nah. After spending a time homeless in NYC, I can sleep through absolutely anything - though for a time I was prone to waking suddenly and grabbing my stuff and then passing out again. Noise, light, someone jumping on my face...These things...

Has anyone ever experimented with laying down a pallet to put their tent on? Is this necessary? When the rain does come, how long are we talking about until it's absorbed? As much fun as it sounds like to way up to 3 inches of water in my tent, I'm kind of a sleep purist and just like to take my sle...

I thought of that. Acting "normal" at first seems like a lock, but I was looking at the pictures and I keep seeing pics of NAMBLA the clown (the candle head guy, right?) walking around on the playa in a suit. Doesn't that mean it's been done? I guess he wasn't acting like he looked for twenty four h...

Thou must endure the trails of the Playa Gods and annoint thyself with the blood of ewe and tear of virgin goat. Ye must survive the trails of Fire and Art before you are allowed into the inner circle.

I bleached my hair almost to white quite easily with goo from Hot Topic. You buy the box (it's like $15) and just follow the directions. I have dark brown hair and it came out just fine. As far as I know, it didn't damage my hair. In fact, it was really soft afterward. Just follow the directions and...

There is nothing on the playa to be allergic to except playa. If you have a problem with alkali dust, look out. Otherwise, don't expect to get bug-bit and don't worry about molds or pollen (unless some freaky cloud of it comes and gets us).

From everything I've read about this, it's a "no watching" event...What's the deal? I keep seeing three sort of different views on stuff like this... A little sociology for you...

Sociology is borken into three main schools of analytical thought: Symbolic Interactionism, Conflict Theory, and Functionalism. Symbolic Interactionism is the one we'll talk about for now. Under SI is the sub school of "ethnomethodology." This truly is one of the greatest scientific approaches I've ...
