Re: Are you driving from the Pacific Northwest to BRC?

Will be flying in from Albany to Seattle, then driving from Tacoma to Black Rock. I was told it would be a good idea to split the driving up a bit and maybe stay somewhere overnight. Absolutely! I've been driving to BRC from Seattle for over ten years; originally I did it in one big loooong day but...

Re: Are you driving from the Pacific Northwest to BRC?

Hi, probably we will have people here on a regular basis a week to a week and a half before the burn, but we don't have any camps building anything here this year yet so you probably would not be immersed in burners. That could change if anyone wants to use our property to prep before going to BRC, ...

Re: Driving from the Pacific Northwest to BRC? Free camping

Hi all, just wanted to add the note that sometimes getting home from the burn is much harder then getting to the burn. Being rested will help you drive those long roads to the North, so my offer stands for on the way home also, folks have come in and slept for 2 days before emerging ready to drive t...

Re: Are you driving from the Pacific Northwest to BRC?

I had planned on staying at a buddy's farm in K-Falls (I'm coming from Corvallis, OR), but this definitely looks like way more fun! :-) Wedeliver: are there any treats you especially love? I would love to bring you something special for your generosity! No we don't need any treats or gifts. Our off...

Re: Driving from the Pacific Northwest to BRC? Free camping

the place outside of Paisley, OR is summer lake hot springs - http://www.summerlakehotsprings.com/ Nice place to stay for those who come via Bend. They increasingly cater to (read: profit from) burners. Looks like it's now $20/night to tent there. I have thought it would be nice to soak in their ho...

Re: Eagle's Nest RV Park from the Pacific Northwest

Just an after event report on how many people stopped here on their way to and from Burning Man. Beginning about 3 weeks before the event we had some BRC folks who stopped here, and we counted about 400 people total on their way to Burning Man. On the return about 70 people took us up on our gift an...

I didn't become a hugger until I got to the playa. Now I've become a sucker for a squeezy hug. I have dreams about long, tight hugs. Eric, you crack me up! Shambala, you told me the best part of the "hug" was reaching around and squeezing some butt, then you complimented me on my tight butt, do you...

Tickets for sale at Will Call or how to transfer on Saturday

It seems that as of today the name cannot be changed for a will call pick up and a signed letter is necessary to complete a transfer now. So, it seems there is no simple online, quick method to transfer tickets as of today. Is that correct. If so, does anyone have any idea if people might be selling...

I did not read the entire thread but I think what might have helped jack up the numbers last year, from what I have heard on the back side, is all the vendors needed to have a ticket. The guy who delivers shit to a bunch of camps, such as gas, propane etc needed to have a ticket last year. Prior yea...

Not only does Cedarville have gas/diesel 24/7, it has a small grocery. As noted, it's only 25 miles from Alturas across Cedar Pass. Your choice. However, Cedarville has a fine bookstore that is a real treat. Also, Surprise Valley Hot Springs is an elegant, quiet place to soak the the playa out. Pre...
