Re: Playa Dreams & Nightmares

Most of my post-BM dreams have been about BM. Possibly all of them. I wish I could remember the ones I had on the bus now. They were surreal. That hazy half-sleep you get in a moving vehicle... it's almost like a delerium, and the dreams are kind of all mixed up with the travel... The one dream I re...

FUCK.

It's looking more and more like Greyhound is never going to find our missing luggage... that would be many of my partner's clothes, his shaver, and some tools and camping equipment. Replacement cost will be way more than what Greyhound will pay us... and many, many hours of shopping.

I got a hilarious email from my neighbour who can't string a weed eater...
Actually, that's not true, and my answer to both of your posts is "no." But now I kind of wish it were true.

TPBM went for a run this morning.

I've got a good-sized piece of reddish/orangey/rusty-coloured fine corduroy (fine as in the wales are very narrow, so it's a bit like velvet in texture, only not so soft). When we camp, including at BM, we like to cook. But we don't like to spend all day cooking, and we'd rather avoid having a tonne of smelly food waste. This year, we had great success with two dishes which managed to straddle the line between "real" food and convenience food. Both were combinations o...

Sounds like a possible bacterial bronchitis, then. Or, you know, coincidence. I really appreciate the reasons for handing them out with an intact seal. Not only does it put the recipients' minds at ease, it also protects them from people who might use a lip balm and put it back, not aware (or not thinking, or not caring) of the germs they would be passing on. I wonder if it w...

No; I had enough of those while travelling, and I'm enjoying the return to all-bran, yogurt, and berries. Light, refreshing, and... well, let's just say it keeps the clock accurate.

TPBM wants to start a new tradition involving vodka, Chinese checkers, and Twister.

I insisted on joining my friends in their adventures, which -- due to my leg-breaking adventures earlier in the summer -- meant they had to slow down (waaaay the fuck down) and wait for me while I crutched through soft playa and took many breath-catching breaks. Eventually, I smartened up and stoppe...

The correct term is "metric fuckton".
A metric fucktonne is slightly more than an imperial fuckton... hence the extra letters at the end.
