Re: cooling your tent or van

Interesting. So I suppose people could take turns in the chair. Or I could duct it into a tent then people can go pile in the tent to cool down, like getting in a car with the AC on. Maybe I'll set it up so it's tubed out into two directions, so two people can sit next to each other and both be cool...

Re: Where to put a shelter when camping?

Halfway locate true north on your compass....walk as far south as you can go....look up the prime meridian on your phone...then stand and wait for a dust storm Actually, don't even put up a shelter. Just roam into people's camps, preferably naked, and ask for water to rinse your hands with. do it an...

Oh for sure. I've already set up the skeleton in the 12x15ft version. Need to build some more ribs and buy a tarp so I can set it up in all of its 12x30ft glory.

I found that after you start allowing yourself to piss regularly, you actually end up going more often. It's like your bladder muscles get used to not holding back so much liquid and take the easy way out and tell your brain to hit the loo. My sister calls the first piss that ushers in that era of ...

Ok, now that I've got the MH figured out (still needs some work), I'm going to try to tackle this thing. Gotta admit I'm a bit scared. I'm going to try and figure out as much as possible on my own so as to not annoy you, Fig, but imma need some help, dig? I guess first question would be (and I alrea...

If I weren't surrounded by INOs I'd probably care. But to me it's just a burger. Probably b/c it's right there. I crave what I can't have. Fatburger is pretty good. We have a Slaters 50/50 (half ground beef, half ground bacon) and that is pretty darn tasty. I'm trying to think of what else....we hav...

When you picture the people in your head, are they sitting down? Frolicking? I picture mine on a carousel, one of the old ones, going round and round. They're all on hallucinogens and as they pass the point where I'm "standing", they make their thoughts/feelings known to me, either by saying somethi...

Re: Testing a Monkey Hut - Fail

I've heard various recommendations on coupler lengths, from 3ft all the way down to 10 inches! 10 inches seems small to me, but I'm thinking of reducing at least down to 2 feet. thoughts? I think having 10-12" on each side of the rib joint would be enough. I am also considering pre-bending the coup...

Other than the aluminet part, that sounds like my life recently: obsessing about BM and falling asleep with visions of my yet-to-be-covered monkey hut in my head. Except I talk to my MH. I come from Canada to attend B.M. I spent a good year reading every piece of information out there, before my first ( solo ) burn. I read years back on eplaya and links to all over the web. PVC cutter! For about $10 you will love this thing! 8) http://www.lowes.com/pd_331921-943-37100.UPP6_0__ The common MH design includes 1.25" PVC and I believe that thing only cuts up to 1". I've been using a mini hacksaw. Works good enough I suppose, but I wish the cuts were straighter. Would help ...

Is it actually supposed to be a hallucinogen via wormwood, or is that just old wive's tale? I don't know if the properties attributed to absinthe were due to wormwood or crappy 19th century bathtub brewing techniques... Haha, that's probably more like it. Thanks for the intro, and welcome! Good luck with STEP. Even if it doesn't pan out, don't fret. There seem to be tickets available as the event nears. IMHO anybody who does the sugar cube, water, spoon thing with absinthe is a pussy. Straight shots (prefereably ice cold but they certainly don't have to be) are the real ticket. Not to mention a helluva lot simpler. Hahah, awesome. I must have been pussy-footing around then. My cousin ordered it of...

You'll have to do better! We're talkin REAL absinthe, Patron, and other top shelf liquors. I usually bring "Bag-o-Steak"! 8) I only had absinthe once but would like to try again. We ordered it online maybe 8 years ago. Poured into glass of ice through a strainer deal with a sugar cube on top. Seeme...
