If this is redundant, my apologies. But Addis did talk to a camera over this past Labor Day weekend.

So, folks, in your estimation: is he throwing out a red herring?

Thanks for a well written, well thought out post EB. Many of your points are noted and considered. But here's one I'm gagging on: VACATION ...? To quote my sensei: as if ! As evidenced by The Hatted One's statement, the purpose of the Green Man was educational. Here's your report card, BMorg: TAZ 10...

I WISH somebody could pull a stunt like this to end the war. You all bitch that many burners suffered for PA's act. Well, fucking hell, PEOPLE ARE STILL DYING in God damned Iraq and nobody's doing shit all about it. A good example of a red herring argument Da Bomb. You're a great role model, sensei.

The BIG question is this, tho... one that bears asking. WILL the org press charges, or press it in Civil? THAT, my dears, is the real question. Even if the Org does not press charges, wouldn't their be a some sort of Federal case or Nevada state charge? People of NV vs. Paul Addis? I dunno. Sorry f...

Coming into this topic late.... Sheesh, I thought everybody was cracked out on Tribe! You guy's crack me up! It's concerning that there's a letter writing campaign to save/throttle Paul Addis. As if justice can be served by a democratic vote! I think PA is a big boy. I think he knew what he was prep...

BURNcast Location and Schedule 2007
From Black Rock City, Nevada, this is BURNcast and I'm DaBomb with a special announcement: the BURNcast Studio is at 3:30 and Boreal. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will NOT be camping with Camp Sunscreen. Below is our tentative recording schedule for Buring Man 2007. Monday 8/27 (1:00 pm - 3:0...

On a positive note, the move worked. Most folks in the Community (drink!) are satisfied. The situation for the most part was diffused. I'm not satisfied, I'm just tired of repeating myself and being dismissed. Dork...I agree with you on every count. The thing is, for most people -- not all -- the m...

I have the original invitation, if any one cares to read it. PM me. Is there a reason you don't just post it? No secret, but it would have been nice if this thread had stayed on topic instead of devolving into what it has become. The personal attacks between people here sadden me. Some would compla...

3: In regards to the Business 2.0 article it was stated that Larry wrote something about this several months back...so he was surprised when this backlash developed. Hello? Go check out the main site and try and find LH's comments. I found this: http://www.burningman.com/whatisburningman/people/1_h...

Has ‘The Man’ Infiltrated Burning Man?
"10 Zen Monkeys" is -- rather ironically -- the title of R.U.Sirius' blog. He recently posted about his chat with the Hatted One. Worth a read: http://www.10zenmonkeys.com/2007/08/02/has-the-man-infiltrated-burning-man/ He also did an interview with Chicken John as well. Worth a listenin' cuz they t...

Journalists should just be nice and repeat what is told to them without interpretation or context? That's called propaganda. If that's what BMORG wanted they should have just written the thing themselves and paid for it to be published. I'm stuck on the word "nice". Nice to whom? Their readers? The...

It is possible that the feared hucksterism will NOT occur. I personally don't like the idea of a theme that "educates," I think art for art's sake is education enough, but I no longer see anyhting intrinsically evil in The Pavillion--particularly after Larry's post here. IMHO, the feared hucksteris...

4FS people, I just got off the phone with one of my campmates and got SCOLDED for doing what I've been doing for years on Tribe. I don't want to repeat the mistakes I've made there. Here's the thing: I think this is a step in the right direction. Burning Man was featured in B2.0 it is a business that is operating in a new and innovative fashion. Maybe not as radically new as it would like to believe, but nevertheless, you gotta admit it's different. I think we all can agree tha...
