Re: Anyone attend WITHOUT the support of their spouse?

Here's a backwards story... In 1999, my wife insisted we go, after our Betty Page look alike neighbor returned from 98... I didn't want to go..wasn't fond of the idea of spending a week in the desert. But, I relented and took her. I fell in love with Burning man...she hated it. I suspect she wanted ...

Re: Self-righteous, wealth-resenting burners running amok

I don't care about rich people..let them play to!! I just hate the fuckers who create the resorts. Radical inclusion does NOT mean inviting burglars into your home...that's radical stupidity. Fuck Plug N Plays!

Re: Toward a PnP Code of Ethics and Best Practices

Why are y'all suger coating Plug N Plays? People pay money to have their shit taken care of....It's a pre paid commodity. I have yet to hear of a P&P encouraging it's members to explore on their own. Instead..I watched a Plug N Play try to get a disabled sticker for a school bus. It's not about acco...

Re: Thanks to eplaya

Invest in some guy lines. Looks like you got it right the first time. Guy lines are awesome for decapitation. If your anchoring is solid, no need for tie downs. I realize that for every day I've spent on the playa you probably have a full week on me (at least), but the structural engineer in me res...

Re: grey water misting evap idea

[/quote]Now if you put those panels into the pool (without their legs breaking/wearing through the pool and letting the grey water out), with large gaps between panels, and then tilted them into the center (sorta like a teepee made of panels), then you'd have lots of air flow and lots of surface are...

Re: grey water misting evap idea

Misting implies pretty small holes. Grey water implies particles in your water. Filtering may be the crux of this idea. Heck, don't misting systems with clean water get clogged from the dust? Ive never had that problem, but have kept it in mind. I will bring replacement lines just incase. We alread...

Re: grey water misting evap idea

That's why we came up with the cloth panel idea..I doubt a mist droplet would survive a 5 foot trip beyond that. Given our camp size from this year and last, I think we can afford that kind of space.

Re: Confused about grey water disposal

A question for the masses. Given the rain on Monday, the blowing dust, the relatively mild temperatures, and a lack of real intense solar heating, how did those of you with evap pools make out? Did they perform as desired, or were you stuck with 50+ gallons of muddy stinky goo to deal with before E...

grey water misting evap idea

An idea I came up with a few months ago..let me know what you think? The idea is to pump filtered grey water through a misting system, using a 12 volt diaphragm pump. The hose will be arranged on a tomato cage, over a kiddie pool. The pool will be surrounded by panels of cloth to contain the mist an...

Lost Nikon D3100 Camera from Blood Bath & Beyond

It was last seen at BB&B, so it may have been stolen..but willing to give whomever has it the benefit of the doubt. It was a Nikon D3100 with a stock 18-55mm lens, Nikon strap and a 16GB heavy duty memory card. If you have any info on this, I promise, free Bloody Marys next year.

Start simple. if you want to learn a million ways to make a bloody mary, join bloodbath&beyond. we are dues free this year, but you will need to bring 3 vodka bottles and 9 bloody mary mixes...or the ingredients once we get our health permit.
