4 burns and it was a life changer? Any specific reason? The Brown Acid Don't listen to'em Ed! There are plenty of things you can expect! Like: Dust, heat, people, costumes, a line to get in, The Man, a Temple, some art, etc. The real trick is to keep your expectations really generic. The B R...

Sounds good. Like Savannah said earlier, one of the best parts of being a one-time lamplighting volunteer is that you can just show up before dusk any day of the week! No need to commit to scheduled shift, just come by if you're feeling it. The invitation stands for everybody! Scout. Really nice re...

Re: "MaxCold" coolers - 5 days of ice?

I have an Igloo Marine 165 that is about 13 yrs old. I use this for dry ice, it lasted us 8 days. I put in all big blocks of dry ice and shove frozen foods around them. Keep it in the back of the truck under our shade with a blanket over it, along with all the other coolers. I also have 2 Coleman E...

Potatoes and Irish, what a cargo cult nightmare right there. You know that taters come from South America, right? In that land there are thousands of different cultivars. Oh, worship the potato, Paddy, go ahead, bring ONE VARIETY only to your island and try to subsist on it. You know what happened....

Cargo Cult? Isn't it just one example of a much larger analysis of world history. Could it not be argued that by interaction with a more dominant force, this in fact allows a community to re-evaluate their own culture in comparison to their enemy and try to further distinguish what makes them who th...

We of course thought the same thing.. but the linear dimensions are just over the allowable limit and it would have been oversized. It was literally cheaper to just give them away.
