Re: Expectoration...teeth brushing. Spit or swallow?

Brush at and spit into a running burn barrel - the liquid evaporates, the solids burn off, and the question is?

If I have to swallow then I'll use something more friendly (and not as toxic) to my body - say baking soda and vodka?

Toothpaste is pretty nasty stuff...

Re: Flying w/a Trunk/Airline Luggage Restrictions

You'll be BOTH oversize AND overweight - that trunk is heavy. And big. Our painters use them for storing their individual gear, and they ARE secure, but IIRC the trunk weighs in at 9-10 Kilos by itself. They would be GREAT shipping crates (we use them for that) but only if you can catch a break ship...

In 2007..I think..at that other thing in july..I arrived on the tail end of a 14 hour dust storm. After the storm passed, I saw, what used to be, an EZ-up canopy, crumpled beyond recognition. 2007 - Legendary. Ug. The first time I remember a 3 day duststorm. Re: A 2012 question for 2011 and 2010 attendees re: exodus

Doesn't affect the pulsing, which is done at the gate. Strangely, I spend enough time after the event to make sure our area is well mooped, so I haven't had to deal with Pulsing... I consider the whole Exodus thing as a punishment for NOT taking the extra time to make sure your camp is TRULY LNT!! (...

Ever hear the legend of Brunhilde? Brunhilde was an older motor home, a '71 Cortez. I had JUST got her back (from probably the slowest mechanic on the planet) with a supposedly freshly rebuilt motor and transmission, loaded all the camp gear in it, made it exactly 1/3 of the way up the sierras (afte...

What about the added benefits of population increase, like all the extra beer cans that Recycle Camp gets to smash? Re: I'm a Dead Horse!...Beat Me!

I have this cool idea - I'm gonna get this huge above ground pool, and get a couple tanker trucks to bring us water to fill it, and we can have a swimming camp. Don't worry, it won't leak, and we won't splash any water out until after the event, when dumping it out on the playa won't matter. Oh yeah...

I still remember seeing the mile-high wall of dust as it descended on Winnemucca (we had flown there for groceries and got stuck there) in 2007. Wasn't the worst since then, but residents were taking pictures, saying it had never ben that bad. Of course there was the burn-generated wind which genera...

Interesting compilation of information. Depends what you bring to the table... Our camp *SOMETIMES* accepts members post-opening, but they have to put up with a lot, and bring a lot to the theme, camp, and interactivity, plus pay all applicable camp dues plus a penalty tax. Trust me, it's not something we normally do... and we're pretty e...

Re: European burners: any tips on flights?

I've been using skyscanner, its searches lots of different sites and is usually the cheapest. I think its usually a little bit cheaper to fly in to San Fran rather than Reno but then you have the extra fuel cost of travelling from SF On the plus side fuel price here is about 1/2 what it is there. A...
